What Would You Do?

I am sure you have heard of, or seen the show, What Would You Do?   You know they set up extreme situations unbeknownst to the general public and basically see what they will do.  I took a quiz with three scenarios.  One of which was a mom who dumps her kids out of the car and tells them to walk home.  My first thought is, oh I can relate to getting to that point.  They did it twice.  The first time the "mom" was driving a little sedan and was dressed kind of plain, and had a cigarette.  Immediately a man came running across the street and was telling her to calm down.  Next, they put the same actors in a suburban, and put the mom in a nice outfit, gave her jewelry and fixed her hair.  Same exact thing and yet nobody really did anything.  I voted for the mom.  Because, I have no idea what this woman is going to do...she might just drive a few feet and then let them back in.  Maybe even circle the block.  Would I do that?  I seriously doubt it.  Just thought it was an interesting scenario.  And apparently it really happened.  Hmmm, I missed that.

But that isn't even what I want to talk about.  Though, I do want to know what you would do if....

You received a letter in the mail with your former boss/friend's name on it in care of you.  Inside, the letter says that you rented a big screen TV  and you either have to return it or pay for it, the contract is up and was never renewed.  After several attempts to contact you they have sent this letter and you need to contact them immediately.

This happened to my brother.  For real.  What would you do?

Oh no, that doesn't sound good. I have no idea what the best course of action would be but yes it sounds like he should do something fast. It doesn't sound like contacting the former boss would help much as it doesn't sound like he is very honest in the first place.

Ha! We were on vacation, coming home and I was being a stinker. Just outside of Vegas my dad asked if I wanted to walk home. I said ok. I got kicked out of the car. But after I walked about 5 feet my dad got out and came after me. We had a long talk, and I sulkily got back in the car. I think that happened about 7 times that vacation. I was just a brat!
So, I don't think I would really have qualms dumping my kids off as that has happened to me many a time.
As for the TV, that is such a sad story! I mean, really. What kind of person would do that to another person? Is the TV under his name or the Boss's name? Whose credit is it going to hurt? I would try to contact the friend and talk about paying for it, and then have the friend pay me back. IF I had the money to pay for it in the first place, that is. Crazy stuff, and what a mean person to do that!

Yikes. If it were me, I'd check my credit reports pronto and try to find out why the company is trying to contact a former boss through me. If my name were forged as a credit reference or as a cosigner without my knowledge, I'd get a lawyer quickly.

Dang, I really dont know but I think I'd try and figure out what is going on. Call the company and ask them maybe?

I've heard of this show but haven't seen it. I'm going to set my dvr.

IDK what I'd do...Probably nothing in either case. Then I'd blog about it later. Ha!

My ex-boyfriend's mom did that to her kids one day. They came running after her (she was close to home) and she let them back in. They never bothered her again.

I'd send the TV back and get a new one with a new contract... LOL
