October

I said yes, and took this picture.  Then, I posted this picture and a blogger I had never "met" asked permission to use it and write this inspired poem.
Another special birthday!

Then there was Halloween!

A perfect fit for my little devilish angel
No explanation needed

November

I always ask questions whether they are random or a hot topic.  I also love to air my dirty laundry.  We lost a special friend from church.  She was a neat lady who lived a very full life, was kind to everyone and who is dearly missed.

Thanksgiving was a total blast with family and the missionaries.  I had about 17 people in my house that day.  It was noisy(but good noisy), the food was AMAZING, and there was laughter, stories and a good time by all. And I didn't take a single picture.  Neither did Kristin.  I wonder if Emmy did....did you?

It was the finals for DWTS!  And I can hardly wait til Spring to play again.  I wrote Thank You letters in the spirit of Thanksgiving.  Then I began a series of Christmas related questions each Monday starting with Christmas Specials.

December

December began this fantastic meme!  It is the brainchild of our beloved Emmy!  Thanks for a fabulous idea.  It really took off!

We saw Santa!  And so did some other people...
Ho! Ho! Ho!

Ryan was in The Nut Cracker

Someone tried to steal my identity!!  I finally got to see HARRY POTTER and THE DEATHLY HALLOWS...it is after all a CHRISTMAS MOVIE!

I reached my thirty pound mark!  (Just 7 more to go)

We had a grand Christmas!

This has been so much fun!  I hope you all had as much fun as I have.  I also wish you all a happy new year!  Be safe!

I Resolve To...

I resolve to:

Continue with my weight loss
Reach my personal goal
Maintain that goal
Exercise at least once a week to start
De-clutter the house
Be good to me (i.e.  regular haircuts, mani and pedi's once in a while) etc.
Learn one new thing

What are you going to do?

Come back tomorrow for the wrap of the 2010 Review Extravaganza!

Returns, Exchange and Trade-Ins

Deck your cars with bags and prizes
Bah! bah! Bah! Bah! Bah! Bah! Bah! Bah!
Tis the season for exhanges!
bah! Bah! Bah! Bah! Bah! Bah! Bah! Bah!
Don we now our gifts and treasures.
Bah! Bah! Bah! Bah! Bah! Bah! Bah!
Slow the traffic moves in measures
Bah! Bah! Bah! Bah! Bah! Bah! Bah! Bah!

See the growing line before us!
Bah! Bah! Bah! Bah! Bah! Bah! Bah! Bah!
Stand in line and see those who bore us!
Bah! Bah! Bah! Bah! Bah! Bah! Bah! Bah!

Bolt on the Wii is rated E for everyone, look closely at the E.  It says: 10+  In other words, not meant for a 5 year old or a grown up supposed intelligent adult. So return it for Batman Leggos on the Wii.  A little better but stll 10+  At least this one I can figure out!!

Receive an awesome remote control car that does tricks and flips from your cousin.  Too bad it doesn't work.  Exchange for...ooops they are out....store credit for the sale price and get a hot wheels track.  Take hot wheels track home only to realize it has been opened and taped shut.  No car, missing pieces and stickers are GONE!  Go back to return that item plus the two others you purchased earlier and see the line has now quadrupled in length and say out very loud, "NO FREAKING WAY!"  Purchase an entirely different hot wheels track and decide to come back the next day.

Go back the next day and discover you are stuck in the same ridiculously long line.  Stand in line for 45 minutes and receive a full refund for your purchases and move on to the next store of choice.

Aren't returns fun???  But wait there's more.  Head to Wally for some regular purchases, plus a much needed new house phone and some other items.  Aside from blowing a huge chunk of change you see that the Christmas leftovers are just that...leftovers.  You also learn that people likely push their carts in the same fashion in which the drive!  Exhausted, you return home and hope to never go back.  And we all know how that story goes!

What did you have to return this year?

CA Girl Wants To Know....

Christmas fun.  It was filled with laughter, happy faces (and noises.) As usual, I didn't sleep very well the night before.  I think that only happened once when I was 17 and a total grouch.  But that was then and this is now.
Santa came!!!
and there was much rejoicing!  (a skateboard)
1, 2, 3 stuffed kitties and she only asked for one!  Santa rocks.
Santa knows everything!

What did I get?  Well I scored in the jewelry department.  Not from Santa though.  No he brought me something else...an iPod Touch.  I was super good.  Husband got me the goods.  And so did my niece and my daughter and all three of them combined.  I also got a new lens for my camera.  It has auto focus!  So yeah...I have been playing.  I am excited to really get out and play with it.  I took a video or two (so far) with my iPod and Kristin took several a few videos with her video camera.  And Emily has been snapping away with her point and shoot.  Yeah everyone got spoiled.  Of course Rich got an iPod as well!  haha.  Santa wouldn't leave him out.

How was your Christmas!?  CA Girl wants to know.
