I Confess...

Image
I confess that I am about to gripe.... It's those darn neighbor kids.  They took great delight yesterday in getting my son into trouble.  Luckily, my daughter and I figured them out quickly.  We set up our own secret operative--she sat in her room and spied on them while he was outside playing.  As we predicted, another set up  happened.  Ryan freaked a little, he thought he was in trouble.  We quickly calmed him down and told him we saw everything(this was behind closed doors) and told him he was not in trouble.  I went outside to collect his things and the youngest of the three asked if he was in trouble.  I personally think this one is innocent of any wrong doings.  He's not even five yet.  It's mostly the oldest sibling who will be 9.  After he asked me this, I simply said, No and then turned my head in the direction of his evil sisters and said, "because he didn't do anything wrong." I confess... I am sore!  So...

How Old Are You?

I find myself asking my son this question a lot lately.  We went to Target yesterday to buy a bat and softball.  Holy cow that stuff is not cheap!  Luckily I ran into someone from church who has a son in baseball with some spare equipment and she was happy to loan us a bat and ball.   This way we get to see if we really like it without it costing any money. As a consolation prize, I was going to buy a Nerf football to toss around at the park.  I was, until Ryan started tossing it around and finally bopping his sister on the hind end with it.  I was all done by that point.  I put it up on a Shelf...Sorry Target Team Members but it was time to be a parent.  Think of it this way, it is job security!  As I put that ball up high behind the dog food, and marched off with my boring vitamins, Ryan was having a fit.  Crying.  All eyes on him.  Were eyes on me?  I hope so.  I was being a parent.  I am not giving int...

It's Not DWTS...

It doesn't seem possible, but I did not watch Dancing with the Stars on Monday.  Not only that, I didn't vote and I didn't watch the results show.  Can you believe that???  I do know who went home.  Jack Wagner.  I am sad about that.  I liked him.  He needed my vote.  But as my BF Emmy asked,"Holy cow!  What has been going on!"  Well, let's back up to December just before Christmas.  One of my cousins died suddenly.  He was very young.  Not even 40.  It was quite a shock.  And so now fast forward to last Friday when I find out that another cousin of mine (age 35) died.   It just blew my mind I think.  I actually said, "What is going on with my family?"  In a last minute decision, my mom decided to go to Utah for the funeral.  She would be riding with her brother and sister in law.  However, I needed to bring her to them.  That meant driving up the windy road.  That was ...

Can You Tell Me....?

Before I ask my weekly question, I want you all to take a deep breath and slowly exhale.  Aahhh. Now doesn't that feel good.  Okay.  Next, I want you to set aside all of your political views and opinions.  These are just men for now.  Remember, no opinions...no views....my question is this?  Can you tell me what religion they are?  How quickly can you do it?  I bet you all can name at least one.  Why is that?  Could it be that in nearly every single report one religion is mentioned, sometimes repeatedly?    To be honest, I had to do a little research and find out the religion on the others. President Obama:  Christian (with a couple of churches named in Wiki) Newt Gingrich:  Raised Southern Baptist and as an adult converted to Catholicism. Rick Santorum:  Roman Catholic Mitt Romney:  Latter-Day Saint Of all these men, the only one whose religion shows up with in the second paragraph in wiki i...
