Zen Thoughts

Image
This is an oldie but a goodie. I got this an email some years ago. It makes me giggle. Sometimes you just need to giggle! A Few Zen Thoughts For Those Who Take Life Too Seriously: Save the whales. Collect the whole set. A day without sunshine is like, night. On the other hand, you have different fingers. I just got lost in thought. It was unfamiliar territory. 42.7 percent of all statistics are made up on the spot. 99 percent of lawyers give the rest a bad name. I feel like I'm diagonally parked in a parallel universe. Honk if you love peace and quiet. Remember, half the people you know are below average. He who laughs last thinks slowest. Depression is merely anger without enthusiasm. The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese. I drive way too fast to worry about cholesterol. Support bacteria. They're the only culture some people have. Monday is an awful way to spend 1/7 of your life. A clear conscience is usually the sign of a bad memory. Cha...

I Stand Corrected

Or should I say, I type corrected! The cost of wedding at the Mission would be more like twenty grand at its lowest price! Holy COW!

Forgot the Pictures

In my haste to get my son and daughter off to bed, I chose "publish post" for my previous post, rather than the "save now" option. Here are a handful of pictures from our day. President Taft's chair. "Fire at will!" The Chapel doors A view of the top These flowers were all around My girls. A big orange. Why? Why not? Now that's a CHAIR! She's "cheetah-licious!" All in all it was a lot of fun. I wonder what our next adventure will be.

A Girls Outing

Yesterday it was a girls day out. While Ryan went and played with his best bud for the day, me, my mom and the girls went out on and adventure. We decided to go the Mission Inn in Riverside. It is quite large and very beautiful. Free to wander around. If you are planning on staying the night, it is no longer free. If you are planning a wedding at the Chapel, plan to fork out at least $1,500.00. It's a beautiful and breath taking chapel that wowed us all. As soon as we walked in there was definitely a most incredible presence. Maybe because it isn't part of the tour, maybe because it is part of the mission. I don't know, I do know it was breath taking. Another room we got to sneak into was the Spanish gallery. If you are planning an event there, the plates start at $50 per person. If you want the music room, you better consider a second mortgage! It was all very beautiful and we got to see some very fascinating things. We finished the day with lunch at little c...

I Have A Question

Image
I have a question! When you dial the wrong number, and the person on the other end tells you so, do you call it again??? I have to ask this, because I have had the same phone number for 19 months now, and from the time I got it, to present day I still get phone calls for a person I have never heard of. I have even gone as far as to tell the people who call--usually sales people--to pass it on that these people are no longer tied to this number. Still they call. Every few weeks they call and always ask for the same person. Sometimes they apologize and hang up. Sometimes they are selling something and figure since it isn't that person, maybe THIS person will bite. Well today, I didn't bite, but I certainly knocked them for a loop. I was happily resting after a nice lunch with my feet up, when the phone rang. I got up, and walked ALL the way to the kitchen to see, "unknown caller" in my ID box. I have to say, I really like caller ID! I answered the phone, rat...

It Was A Hoppy Easter

Image
Well, when I took the pictures it didn't look like they were in shadow this much. What a little man! The egg hunt at Grandma's. The hunt is on! Did he find any yet? TA-DA! Lookie! Vanna White? Now we just need to find the last one! Yeah, I know it is a lot of pictures. There are really so many more. Not to toot my own horn, but I got some good ones.

He is Risen!

"In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. His countenance was like lightning, and his rainment white as snow: And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and become as dead men. And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo I have told you." Matthew 28: 1-7 He is risen! Have a glorious and wonderful Easter!
