It Wasn't Me...

Image
It wasn't me, it was the one-armed man!  I'm innocent see!  I was framed see!  What is it that I am not guilty of?  Well....let's see... I am not guilty of writing two checks before the money was there.  It's been years since it was that close.  But that's okay because really it didn't happen. I am not guilty of letting my children stay up a little later than usual because I am too lazy to go upstairs and put them to bed. I am not guilty of letting my my (almost) 10 year old put the boy to bed for the same reason. I am not guilty of reading blogs instead of doing laundry or anything that resembles housework. I am not guilty of ignoring my kids because I never do that anyway. I can neither confirm nor deny any of the above statements.  I have no further comments at this time, and I will not be taking questions.   Want to play along?  Check out Glamazon!

Vampires

When I say Vampire what is the first thing you think of  .... Yeah I thought so.  But that is not even close.  Sorry Twi-hards, but work with me, K. A long time ago, I am talking before any of us were even born an amazing horror story was written.  Come on...say with me now.... This story spawned a whole line of theories and movies.  The very first that comes to my mind is...Dracula played by Bela Lugosi.  I never have seen it, but I know it.  The first Dracula movie I personally remember seeing was Once Bitten with George Hamilton, and even at my then young age, I could see he oozed with a certain sex appeal.   Then came another...more geared towards the kids....you might recognize the CO-star... Once Bitten was a new twist on the story of vampires.  This time SHE is a Countess.  And she needs VIRGIN blood.  Try finding that in a typical American teenage male.  See him front and center there.  Come on...you know who that is!  Jim Carrey can only mean one thing, hilarity.  It'

Now why can't we all have fashion sense like this?

It's Just Weird

For one thing, it's a little quieter.  Don't get me wrong...Emily and Ryan can be pretty noisy too. It could be that he was just cranky, but they can just tell when things aren't right. And his sister is gone.   At least in his mind she is. Kind of like I just did right there.  Seriously tho, he can be asking for something that he wants, such as candy and when you tell him no he will say, "But I still want to watch UP."  Makes your brain hurt doesn't it? I know I have. She just wants to see shirtless Jake. Seriously some are down right painful and should come with a warning. I think it is a comfort thing.  Although I have been known to silence it from to time. The earthquake was in Mexicali and measured a 5.9.  This is pretty hearty.  We felt a rolling sensation for about 10-15 seconds.  It was definitely enough to get your attention.  However, it was far enough away that it didn't send me into the door frame.  No damage here.  Emily was oblivious, Ryan sl

Who Doesn't Like Free???

When you see the word, "Free" does your heart get all aflutter?  Do you immediately go to whatever it is that is "free?"  I think in these times, the word "free" has even more power.  This morning as I checked my email, which I always do.  I receive promos from all kinds of places.  One of them is Toys R Us.  Today's promo caught my eye right away.  "Get a FREE ticket for TOY STORY 3-D"  Score!  Tell me how!  Here's how:  Join TRU on Facebook.  I can do that.  Then spend $25 or more on any TOY STORY product at TRU and receive your free movie ticket.  It's a "$7.50" value.  Seriously?  How dumb do they HOPE we are???  Is this going to drum up business somehow?  I mean I could just state the obvious here and say I could buy three movie tickets for that $25 spent at Toys R Us.  But that just makes sense.  And why would I want to do that?  So I guess it is true, "there is no such thing as a free lunch."  What are
