Never Mind...

I couldn't help it.  It was just there.  When I saw the color of the rainbow for this week was "violet" the very first thing that popped in my head was:  Gilda Radner's SNL character, Emily Litella.  Poor confused dear.  Why can't we have more "violins" on television?

I am never prompt.  Well that is not true...I was...once.  The day I was born.  I was born on my exact due date.  Which was on a Wednesday.  So, no I was not premature.

And now....

1.  I was held back in kindergarten
2.  I went to 3 elementary schools
3.  I was interviewed for a controversial piece in the school newspaper.

I'd love to see the Gilda video, but it isn't available outside of the US :-( WORLD WIDE WEB, people -- why can't the videos be available to everyone?!

I'll pop overt to You Tube and see what I can find....

I say #1 is the lie. Do any kids really get held back in Kindergarten?

The world lost a great talent the day Gilda died.

Oh, and to Jen above...my son repeated kindergarten due to his developmental delays. We used his 1st year of K to get all the programs in place that he needed. I have always told him it was his practice year.

I don't remember you moving around a lot as a kid so I am guessing #2

I was held back in preschool. It was the best decision. I hope that is the right answer.

OMG!!! I also thought off Gilda's violins/violence skit! How funny!! :) I was going to try some way to tweak it to be violets on TV...but changed my mind. See mine here.

I love Emily Litella, my favorite character from SNL (the old, good SNL!) My favorite was the bit she did on "Soviet Jewelry" - classic.

I adored Gilda. And I think it's number 1. Or number 3.

Okay, so I have to laugh. You came by my blog from Jenny's and now that I see who you are, I feel like I know you. I mean, I read all about you all the time on Emmy's blog. So funny!
I LOVED that clip for the Violet. So funny. I have never seen that before. Thanks for a good belly laugh! And I hope to see more of you. ;)

Sorry, I could not see this as I live outside of the United States.

This is one reason I post stills when I want to write about a film.

Best wishes,
Anna
