Maybe It's Just Me....

Maybe it is just me, but I always thought that the street was for the cars and the sidewalks was for the pedestrians.  Hypothetically, let's say a driver is pulling alongside a curb to park their vehicle.  And let's say that there are two women, one of which is pushing a stroller on the street.  And let's also note that there is ample room for the pedestrians that may or may not exist to move up to the sidewalk thus allowing the driver to pull over and park.  And let's also say it is painfully obvious that the driver is waiting for them to get their butts off the street move up to the sidewalk.  And let's say they do not, but instead continue walking on the street right past the driver.  I always thought the street was for the cars.  But maybe that is just me.

Maybe it is just me, but perhaps I am not the only one who wants to listen to other people's music.  I mean even if it is music I happen to like, though it rarely is.  What makes these people think I want to listen to their music?  Especially when said "music" so called is filled with filthy lyrics that my children are subjected too.

Maybe it's just me, but sometimes when I am watching the news, when the weather comes on they are always complaining to the meteorologist.  Like he has something to do with it.  "When will this heat end?" and when it does, "What happened to summer?"  The same is true if it rains/snows.  "When we will see some of that wet/white stuff?"  "When will we have a break from all this rain/snow?"  Has anyone else noticed that?

Homework starts this week.  Maybe it's just me, but I think there is a bit too much piled on.  And sometimes, I think the "deciderer's" forget there are those of us who have more than one in school and in some cases, wee ones who still demand  need attention.

Is it just me?

People can be so damned oblivious to how they are affecting others. I agree with you on all of your points here!

It's not just you...nope! In a nutshell, I think we all think this way. I'd love to bump a pedestrian in the street, just once. Just to see the reaction. OK, so that would be wrong. Apologies all around....
