Was it Worth It?

Raise your hand if you got up before the sun on Friday. Raise your hand if you were still in a turkey coma. Raise your hand if you don't know what the heck I am talking about. I did get up before the sun; 2AM in fact. I woke up at 2 and couldn't get back to sleep. My alarm was set for ten after 3. My niece and I were going to Kohl's first. They opened at 4. I stubbornly stayed in bed from 2 until 2:55 as I fought to get that last hour of sleep. I finally threw in the towel and trudged around trying to wake up. I ate a small breakfast and sat for a few minutes before I drove over to pick up my niece at my mom's house.

We got to Kohl's within minutes of it opening. This was especially nice because we had little or no time waiting outside in the cold. We spent a little over an hour at Kohl's between shopping and waiting in line. Our next stop was Target. We got their 15 minutes after it had opened, and there were already people coming OUT with their purchases! As a result, I got to take a closer parking space. Someone tried to take it from me. I don't think so. I was there first. Go away. After Target, Nicole--my niece, wanted to go to Starbucks. She ordered me a hot chocolate. Here is what she ordered: a tall white chocolate with 3 pumps of mocha. Well whatever, it was sure yummy. Then we braved it and went to Wally. It was very busy there, and we saw some people of Walmart. One of which was "mullet man." He had very short hair on top and the rest was almost down to his waste. So was it worth it? Was it worth operating on little or no sleep? You tell me. I need to be vague as some people I bought for will read this.

Fine jewelry original price $90 final price $20
clothing original price $38 final price $18
Fischer Price original price $44 final price $22
Accessories original price $20 final $12

At Kohl's between me and Nicole we saved over $400 in our purchases. Plus we received $30 in Kohl's cash.

On to Target....I only bought two items on a sale price.
Entertainment: $50 final $20

Plus a $10 target gift card.

Entertainment: $20 final $5

Before: $380 Final $147. I bought much more that was not on sale, but I couldn't have done it had I not got up before the sun. So was it worth it? Ummm...heck yeah! Plus we had loads of fun.

You know I LOVES ME A DEAL!!!

Black friday is great for deals. But I am not as crazy as you and I didn't participate in the store to store marathon. Walgreens is good enough for me.

I DO think it was worth your time you scored big!

I totally thought it was worth it. I got something for my husband that is normalling $30 for only $5! Of course, I only got up at 5:20! :)

If you can get yourself out of bed and save $$$ it is worth it. I skipped Black Friday....2 am is my bed time!

Glad you had fun. But I just don't think I could get up that early.. at least without biting my kids heads off the rest of the day

I wanted to go, I really, really did but I chickened out at the last minute. Maybe next year b/c those deals are just too good to miss.
I'm a Kohl's die hard (worked there and always find just what I want) so I braved the lines and went on Black Friday morning. I did find some good deals and what I was looking for but while waiting 45 minutes in the check out line I decided that next year I think I'll just pay full price and keep my sleep instead. Looks like you made a good score though!
