Not A Morning Person

I am not a morning person.  I am talking about those people who rise with the sun.  The people who smile and sing with the birds.  The people whom others would just want to punch in the neck.  Oh not me, I am not a neck punching kind of person.  But you know what I mean.  They are perky from start to finish.  It's in their DNA.  They just can't help it.    It's not in mine.

I am not a coffee drinker.  I am a Diet Coke person.  So unless I have had my Diet Coke and have been up at least 2 hours, I am not a good candidate for anything.  I am grumpy.  I am absent-minded.  Well, I am absent-minded anyway, but in the morning it is really bad.  I do things that even a senile person would question.  My kids just shake their heads at me.  I can't even discipline properly because my words are messed up.

When I was little I woke up with this sun.  Ask my mom.  She will gladly tell you.  She could put me to bed at midnight and I was up at dawn.  That is my son.  He is the early bird special.  Come to think of it, he was born in the morning.  So was I.  Interesting.   *ahem*  Once I hit teendom, that all changed and never went back.  So here's my question, do morning people get grumpy by mid afternoon, or early evening?  Like do they run out of perky?  I seem to improve as the day goes on.  Okay I don't, but at least I am nicer and slightly more awake.

Are you a morning person?  Night owl?  Were you always that way?  CA Girl wants to know.  Cause I'm nosy like that.

I used to be a morning person. Used to wake up so early all on my own. Then when I was pregnant with Lucas and had nothing to do- literally we had just moved to a new town and I wasn't working- I learned to sleep in. Now I am a morning person because I have to be

I used to be a real morning person. I got up at 4 AM to do homework until 6 AM when it was time to get the kids up for school and me ready for work. (I went to college at night and worked full time.) If I had to do it today, I'd be dead.

Now I don't get up before 9 AM. It's just not civilized.

I can be a morning person IF I'm armed with Diet Coke, and IF nobody talks to me while I'm this aforementioned morning person. When I'm ready to communicate with other people, I'll make the first move. ;)

My ag teacher in high school's wife was a morning person. at 5am she was a bubble of joy, I usually grumbled at her, not because I was rude, just because I'm not a morning person. I think when i was a baby I woke up early some but I've never been a morning person. My parents have always had to almost pull teeth to get me out of bed. It still hasn't gotten any better, I just now have to pull my own teeth to get myself out of bed. Although in college I was a night owl, now I go to bed at 10ish so that I'll be able to wake up at 6:35 when my alarm goes off so I can hit snooze :)

I don't remember EVER being a morning person...I used to be a night owl, and nowadays I'm more of a morning person.
I have to be, but that's the only reason why. LOL

Never been a morning person. My dad is. Growing up, he'd give me a hearty "good morning" when I got up to get ready for school. I just rolled my eyes and crunched on my cereal.
