Happy Saturday! I am participating in Mamarazzi's "Happy List" weekly post. Sometimes the simplest things make me happy. Last night we went to Target. No, that isn't what made me happy. It's what I got that made me happy. A lamp. Yep. A simple floor lamp.
We have one already in our family room but it isn't quite enough. I need light and lots of it. We spend the majority of our time in the family room. You know, where the TV is. And there just isn't a lot of natural light in there. So I got a lamp. It has two lights. A lesser for reading. It is perfect. It made me so happy. Another thing about it that makes me happy is how easy the switch works. The other lamp actually has a wrapper attached to the switch to make turning it somewhat easier. Yeah a total redneck fix.
Sleeping in also makes me happy. I only get to do it once a week. And I savor it.

Staying in my nightgown and robe all day when it's raining and the husband is away makes me happy!
Sleeping in is glorious! And light is the best thing in the world. Really. I am seriously depressed without light so your lamp makes me happy for you as well.
We can use some additional lighting in our living room, one day I will get around to doing something about it.
Sleeping in? What is that? One day, I will get around to doing that too!

We just bought a new floor lamp too! Light always makes me happy. And today was my one sleep-in day as well. Ahhhh!
Holy crap. My wife and I had to look three times. We have that EXACT same lamp!

Nice lamp! Our living room ceiling is wood so any lights we have in there get eaten! :(
Oh sleep, that sounds wonderful, can't wait to do that again in about a year or so. And you pretty much nailed what makes me happy: Target! I love that place.
