Fa La La La La La La!

I love Christmas music, possibly even more than I love my Christmas specials.  I love singing the fun songs, the silly songs, and most of all the beautiful songs of joy and praise of the birth of the Savior.  I have an album that I listen to repeatedly each year.  Christmas with The Judds.  It has a perfect blend of religious and fun.  Plus I really like their singing.  And you know I can sing it perfectly in the car as I drive down the road.

 I have so many favorites...it's hard to name just a few....but I will....to spare you all.  For the fun and merry type I love:  Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,  All I want For Christmas is My Two Front Teeth, I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus, The Chipmunks Christmas Song--it's Alvin...I just love him.  Haha.  And then there this is little gem.


On the more grown up side of things, but not yet in the spiritual part I love:  The Christmas Song (sung only by Nat King Cole, cause let's face it, he sang it best!) White Christmas (Bing Crosby)  Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, I'll Be Home For Christmas.

Silly songs would be....you know:  Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer, Eight Crazy Nights, and The 12 Days of Christmas....Redneck Style!  I couldn't embed it, so if you so desire you can see it here.

The spiritual songs are my favorite of them all.  And to choose just one is nearly impossible.  I love Silent Night.  It is so sweet and invites such a tender spirit.  But I think my two favorite ones have to be It Came Upon A Midnight Clear and O' Holy Night.

I was thinking about blogging this the other night as I was working at 3 am and listening to Christmas music in the store. I was making a list of what I like and don't like. Many favorites! I love Stevie Wonder's 'Someday at Christmas' and don't like Destiny's Child '8 days of Christmas.'

Oh my gosh, I couldn't even begin to list my favorites, I LOVE Christmas music too! My husband was way super happy when I started listening to the 24/7 Christmas music station about 2 weeks before Thanksgiving. ;)

I just spent four days listening to Christmas music non-stop at our annual winter art show. I think I am a little musiced out!

You are going to hate me, but my favorite Christmas movie is Bad Santa.

Hmm that is a good question. I like the upbeat ones a lot I think. One of my favorite is Let it Snow... kind of ironic since I have no desire for snow anymore :)

I love all these movies! And I think November Christmas (Hallmark Hall of Fame) is going on my list. I saw it a few weeks ago and it was totally amazing.

Those are my favorite Christmas songs too! I the Hippopotamus for Christmas and O Holy Night. Also, I would add Santa Baby and I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day. There really is such great music this time of year.

A Leave of Absence

I just wanted let you all know that I am taking a (short) leave of absence. I was feeling under the weather last Friday, and Saturday I was a lump. By Monday I felt almost normal again. Tuesday even better! By Wednesday night the whole left side of my face felt completely packed. Today(Thursday) I am at death's door. Or maybe it's at mine! All I know is, I haven't felt this crappy in a long time. I spent the day at my mom's and mostly slept. Thanks Mom. Now Rich is home and he is running the show. Dancing with the Stars---Dead

That is how the show was introduced on Halloween night.  "Dead, from Hollywood, it's Dancing with the Stars!"  with your host, Tom Boooo-geron! Oh and Brooke who didn't get a play on her name.  Tonight, the dances are all spooktacularly themed.  Plus there is also a team dance. David and Kym 1-800-868-3406 David and Kym are dancing The Cha Cha and David wants to add magic to the act, so they bring in a professional magician to help with some basic tricks.  I enjoyed their Cha Cha.  It was fun. Len said it had  lots of tricks and treats and that David turned himself into a dancer! Bruno told him he has got the prestige, and that he was a natural at turning tricks. Carrie Ann said his improvement was phenomenal. She said he was polished and finessed, but that he needed to work on his holds.
