New Shoes, Drano, DWTS

No this is not my recap....that is tomorrow!  But I did watch...of course I watched.  Are you kidding me!  All I will say is if you missed it, come back tomorrow and you will feel like you didn't!

I couldn't get through for almost the whole time allotted for phone calls.  It was making me crazy.  I kept yelling at the phone.  "All circuits are busy."  "OH SHUT UP!"  Three tones and then, "The number you have dialed has been disconnected." "Oh no it hasn't!"  Busy.  "CRAP!"  It was making me get ugly.  But I finally managed to get through.  Even Rich was voting!

The kids got shoes.  Yippee.  Of course it helped that Payless is having a BOGO sale.  Ryan's shoes were falling apart and too small and wow Emily was wearing shoes that had to be pinching her poor feet!  Kristin's shoes were falling apart too and she needed a larger size, but I think she was the best off.  But that was a good thing.  New shoes all around.  Plus silly socks for the girls.

I had to buy a econo size jug of Drano for our shower.  It is ridiculous showering in 3 inches of water.  Yeah it is that bad.  And draining the tub.  Well...that takes a while.  So I used the whole thing and it is better but still not draining properly.  I found a recipe online to make your own version of Drano.  I don't remember where it is...but I cut and paste the recipe...so if you are interested....

Homemade Draino First, pour one cup of baking soda into your drain. Then, slowly pour one cup of vinegar into the drain - you should hear it fizz and bubble. Then flush with one gallon of boiling water. Your drain should work like new again!  (I know it says boiling...but ummm I would have to carry that upstairs...I think I will just flush it with hot water.)

Okay...all you people in cold places please shut your eyes.  It's cold here.  I am totally allowed to say this for two simple reasons.  One...I know cold...and I am talking "hurtin' cold."  And two, I am rarely cold.  So for me to say it is cold...it must be cold.  There is snow in the near by mountains.  And the temps are dropping.  And having lived where it does snow, I know that feeling of cold the air has before it snows.  That is what it feels like here.  Crazy.

Have you seen the Target Black Friday commercials?  They are cracking me up. This is a montage of the best ones...

And just because I am a nut....here is a classic Thanksgiving commercial...enjoy!

I still haven't voted this year! So I guess I can't complain, but I will be pissed if Jennifer doesn't win. You couldn't pay me to be at target at 4am.

Oh those commercials are hilarious! And as for the shower/tub; I completely understand. For three years I had to use draino every other week. Towards the end it was more frequent. I thought it was all from hair. I didn't understand what was going on. Finally, right when we moved out my husband finally disassembled the pipes under the tub and we found 2 rags! Can you believe it? I can't. I especially can't believe we had lived with that for three years. I hope you don't have that problem. I hope it is something draino can fix. :)
Cold. I understand that. Thanksgiving there will be a high of 19. But my nice and cozy house is making me love this weather. It is divine! and I never thought I would hear those words come out of my mouth.

Okay haven't seen those commercials and yes they are funny and yes you ARE a nut and I love you for it. I have to say though that turkey match looked a little risque in the sink. :0

Oh Draino NEVER worked for me. And the three inches of water in my tub means MY hair. It's foul, but "snaking" is the only thing that clears it.

That is all. Happy Thanksgiving.
