Dreaming...

Lately, I have been dreaming.  Dreaming of new things that I need want.  A new couch comes to mind.  The couch in my family room is slowly dying a miserable death.  It is a reclining couch, and wouldn't you know it, the side that I normally sit on is the side that is breaking.  First, it was the foot rest.  It is permanently up.  And just a few days ago, the seat back went into the semi reclined position and won't sit back up.  Oh if only I could have a new couch.  Or at least a newer one.

Then I look at my kitchen table.  It's a good table, really.  It's the chairs that are getting sad.  And if you are going to replace your chairs, why not go all the way.  And since I am dreaming...I am going to dream big.  How about Bistro Sets?



I love this one!  It is from CSN stores.  It seats 8!  My BIL and his wife have one, and I loved it.  There are actually all kinds of Bistro Sets at CSN to choose from.  Which would you choose if you had the choice?  Would you choose the quaint outside table and chair sets?  Or like me, the setting for eight?

Oh I do like that table. We need a new one too, I mean we don't even have enough chairs for when Ryder is ready to join us.

:) Our table and chairs are hand me downs (I sat down on them at my mom's house when I was a kid).

Call me insane, but I'd love to have a wood shop and make my own set. Not that I have skills to do the job....

I just met a girl who will teach me to reupholster a chair. It will be like getting a whole new chair. And then I will be visiting the thrift shops for a couch to re-do. Yay!

Shoot, I need a whole new kitchen. My friend is an architect and I asked her, "what would it cost? Between $40,000 and $150,000?" and her response was "yes."

I'm always dreaming! I bought new furniture 2 years ago and I already don't like the couch. An expensive mistake I have to live with for a while. I'm getting a new (to me) dining room set from my friend who is moving so that is one dream that's coming true - not the friend leaving, her table!

A Leave of Absence

I just wanted let you all know that I am taking a (short) leave of absence. I was feeling under the weather last Friday, and Saturday I was a lump. By Monday I felt almost normal again. Tuesday even better! By Wednesday night the whole left side of my face felt completely packed. Today(Thursday) I am at death's door. Or maybe it's at mine! All I know is, I haven't felt this crappy in a long time. I spent the day at my mom's and mostly slept. Thanks Mom. Now Rich is home and he is running the show. Dancing with the Stars---Dead

That is how the show was introduced on Halloween night.  "Dead, from Hollywood, it's Dancing with the Stars!"  with your host, Tom Boooo-geron! Oh and Brooke who didn't get a play on her name.  Tonight, the dances are all spooktacularly themed.  Plus there is also a team dance. David and Kym 1-800-868-3406 David and Kym are dancing The Cha Cha and David wants to add magic to the act, so they bring in a professional magician to help with some basic tricks.  I enjoyed their Cha Cha.  It was fun. Len said it had  lots of tricks and treats and that David turned himself into a dancer! Bruno told him he has got the prestige, and that he was a natural at turning tricks. Carrie Ann said his improvement was phenomenal. She said he was polished and finessed, but that he needed to work on his holds.
