It's Just Weird

For one thing, it's a little quieter.  Don't get me wrong...Emily and Ryan can be pretty noisy too.
It could be that he was just cranky, but they can just tell when things aren't right. And his sister is gone.  At least in his mind she is.
Kind of like I just did right there.  Seriously tho, he can be asking for something that he wants, such as candy and when you tell him no he will say, "But I still want to watch UP."  Makes your brain hurt doesn't it?
I know I have.
She just wants to see shirtless Jake.
Seriously some are down right painful and should come with a warning.
I think it is a comfort thing.  Although I have been known to silence it from to time.
The earthquake was in Mexicali and measured a 5.9.  This is pretty hearty.  We felt a rolling sensation for about 10-15 seconds.  It was definitely enough to get your attention.  However, it was far enough away that it didn't send me into the door frame.  No damage here.  Emily was oblivious, Ryan slept through it and Kristin, well I can only hope she happily missed it.

Wow an earthquake! I'm sure you're used to those though. I think I'd hide in a corner if there was an earthquake lol, or under the bed, which is probably like the worst place! I'm so missing my shows...greys anatomy, fringe, v. Its funny how attached I get to the shows I really like!!

I want to see both of those movies too! And I didn't even feel the quake!

I'm glad the earthquake didn't affect you too much! My mind switches at lightning speed too. My husband calls my mind a playground...jumping from the swings to the slide to the monkey bars with no apparent rhyme or reason.

I get whiplash talking to my daughter! She's 3. And YES I agree, the brain loss of mom's DOES get worse after they are born!!! UGH, I'm gonna be a complete idiot at the end of this one!

We had a tiny earthquake here in the fall and it SCARED me- I ran screaming from my bedroom- but not because I have a fear of earthquakes, I just thought there was something under my bed that shouldn't have been there. I'm right there with you on the Toy Story 3 event- we're planning on a good old- fashioned drive-in night :)

My hubby and two boys were at Scout Camp all last week AND my daughter was at Girls Camp. I was left with the two littles. It was a looooong. week. Not as peaceful as I would have thought.

I am patiently waiting for a shirtless Jake myself.

Oh how I miss the the rolling sensation of a good earthquake....NOT!
Lourie, LOL here. I love the how Ryan can change the subject in a whiplash second. Kids are hilarious. Okay, when Julia would go to girls camp I would feel the same thing you are feeling now. It's so weird when they grow up. Also, I love when you write post its.

Also, you'll have to hear the craziness of our plans with the Eclipse movie. I will have to share.

Summer tv has been pretty disappointing. I have a bad habit of writing bills or checking email in front of the tv. I'm glad the earthquake wasn't a bad one for you guys. How scary! Think I can convince my hubby to see Toy Story 3 on a movie night???? Yeah, probably not.

I'm glad the earthquake wasn't worse!

It's very strange at my house with no kids. Like I said, I found out how boring I really am.

Summer TV totally sucks, I just told my husband we should turn our service off...but noooo then we couldn't watch baseball, that would be horrible.
