I Must Admit....

I  must admit it has been a very long time since I have participated in Mamarazzi's Friday Confession!  And I feel the need to unload....

The house elves quit cleaning my house again.  Stupid elves.  I actually think they never worked in my house in the first place.

We have lived here almost 5 years now.  I can't even believe that.  One thing I missed right away was the sense of community.  Having lived on a military base for six years you kind of have that.  Out here, we didn't have that.  And not only that....no kids.  It's a very quiet street.  Dead almost.  I kept hoping against hope for neighbors with kids.  Well be careful what you wish for.  We have neighbors with kids now.  They are 9, 6 and 4.   The six year old is in Ryan's class.  These kids come over daily asking if Ryan can play.  At first it was fun.  It was great in fact.  Now, the honeymoon is over.  And I am getting a glimpse into summer.  The 4 year old is just that 4.  And well...why do all THREE of them have to come over anyway?  Shouldn't it just be the SIX year old?  Basically, I am babysitting...for free.    And this kid will walk into my house, but not before he rings the doorbell 27 times.  *sigh*  It's going to be a long summer unless I have a battle plan.  I am open to suggestions both realistic, and outrageous.

I have family members who need to make some changes in their lives and simply won't.  It's frustrating to me.  And they complain about it.  And wonder why it won't get better.  I want to shake them.  But it wouldn't do any good.  I think these ones thrive on drama.  Not me.  I prefer a drama free life!  Give me a nice even ride please.

I am off....to Zumba!  We know I am off!  That's a given folks.  What's weighing on your mind?

Neighbors with kids is ick.
Wait. Neighbors at all are irritating. I'm such a loner.

The dish fairies have absolutely no sense of direction--they keep getting lost on the way to my house. If you find those elves, send them my way too.
We have had our runs with neighbor kids. The worst ones has recently moved out of the neighborhood. The ones that are left aren't too bad.

Hmm. Maybe set up a canopy in the back and say, "All playdates will be outside this summer. If you want AC, it's time to go home."

I hopped over from the linky. :) Hi!
I understand what you mean about the kids around. I live in an apartment complex and there are lots of kids around here...it seems like someone is always knocking on my door. I like my peace and quiet! And I definitely don't like basically babysitting everyone's kids! I feel your pain!

How did I not notice this post until now.

Maybe literally set some rules this summer such as you are allowed to come over one day a week and set the day even? Say we have a lot going on this summer but want you guys to be able to play so how about on Tuesdays we get together- but the rest of the week it is our family time?? I dunno if it will work or if you want to commit to 1 day a week even but an idea.

And I have a few family members I want to shake myself
