FUGLY!

I am six feet tall.  I wear a size 10 wide in shoes.  Do you know how hard it is to find shoes???  Basically I get to go into the store and see what they have in my size.  And usually it looks something like this...

Are you freaking kidding me with these things???  Even Granny is saying NO WAY!
We Amazons are a rare and precious breed, but gees cut us some slack!  We like cute shoes too!  And I know they are out there, but why should have to spend three digits to get a pair shoes that fit??  Because I am tall and therefore must be a model who can have her shoes custom made?  It drives me crazy.  My cousin is also an Amazon...she is taller than me!  I am sure she feels my pain.  Her brother is almost seven feet tall as is my nephew.  They go in the shoe stores and say "What do you have in my size."  On a good day they bring out 2 pairs of shoes.  I was brought 4.  I lucked out with a straight 10.
I added the pink laces, and I am thinking of getting some rhinestones to bling them out! What do you think?
That is not my question by the way...my question is:  Why do big feet equal FUGLY SHOES!?

Because shoe designers are short people and fugly shoes for tall people is part of their revenge for that "Short People" song.

I didn't know you're that tall. My SIL's are 6 ft. tall, too and they have always had problems finding clothes and shoes.

My friend is a size 10-11 and has the same issue. Shoe shopping with her is not a good time.

My daughter is a size 10 shoe also! She hates it but she's not a wide so she does find fashionable shoes. She'll be so excited to know someone else is a 10!!!!

i don't know. My niece wears a size 11 and always has the cutest shoes! Granted I have never gone shoe shopping with her, but she does seem to have success in buying cute shoes. Also, I think her feet are narrow. That might help her out a little. Good luck!

That is all kinds of wrong! Find somebody who dresses transvestites. They will have cool shoes for bigger feet. (Oh, I forgot, you aren't in San Francisco.)

Weirdly enough I used to wear size 10 shoes, now I'm back to 9/9 1/2 but even at that, there aren't cute shoes even there :(. I feel your pain. That and if you are tall, you must be fat, skinny people are short... what about us middle of the roaders with long legs? I sometimes have to wear high waters b/c I can't find dress pants long enough.

Same reason if you buy short/plus size clothes it has to mean that you're 92.

Um yeah, I soooooo feel your pain. It would be one thing if I was short with big feet, but I need FLATS! I seriously hate shoe shopping. It makes me depressed every time. haha :)

My sister just blogged about finding the cross-dressers because THEY seem to find the sexy shoes and clothes without a problem! Hell, they dress better than some women I know :)

As the wife to the almost 7 footer and mother to future impossible to find shoes for children, I feel your pain. Poor Miss Alex already wants the cute little girl shoes but is nearly impossible to find shoes for as her feet are blocks.

OMG-- my sister has the same problem! If I'm at a store without her and see cute shoes in her size, I call her!
