9 to 5?

Tumble outta bed and I stumble to the kitchen
Pour myself a cup of ambition
Yawnin', stretchin', try to come to life
Jump in the shower and the blood starts pumpin'
Out on the streets the traffic starts jumpin'
And folks like me on the job from nine to five

Except....I start at about 7....okay 7:30 if I snooze too many times.   I definitely stumble out of bed.  Shower comes first though.  After I am dressed, I have wake the night of the living dead my two younger children the other zombie the teenager is already at school.  Once we are downstairs, we eat breakfast...if it is a good morning, we are all down here at the same time.  But most mornings, Emily lays in bed or plays around in her room.  Today was one of those days.  Then she gets mad and wonders why she doesn't get to play after she is dressed.  *sigh*

I have to make lunches.  I have to because I forget to make them do it themselves.  And there isn't enough time in the morning to mess with it. Oh man, where is my ambition--aka Diet Coke!  It's pushing 8:00.    People need their shoes on.  Do they have socks on?  Where's your shoes? How is it already 8:07?  We have to leave at 8:15!  Lunches made and we have 5 minutes to spare.  I set the timer on my phone and realize oops, I need to take some pictures of Ryan.  We made a project for his 100th day of school.  Look for it on Wednesday!  Well shoot that one turned out dark! So let's take another.  Quick Emily, put your boots on.  We have to go.  Everyone in the van.  Ooops...I forgot my Diet Coke.  I need me some ambition!  Brrrr...it's cold this morning!  Better grab some jackets(hoodies really).  Hey now it is 8:28 and school starts in 2 minutes!  Good thing we live 1/2 a mile a way.  And Emily doesn't start until 9.  And that is just my MORNING!

What are your mornings like?

Let's see...the alarm goes off at 6:30 but I hit snooze, on accident, I swear and I usually getup between 6:45 and 7. But I have to have the kids to school before 8 so we hurry and get dressed and then eat breakfast, watch a little tv and run to school. :)

Your morning makes me tired! Lucas school starts at 8:15 and he likes being early so we are out the door at 7:40. And yes, they are always wanting to play or watch shows in the morning which there isn't time for.

Well, let's see my morning went like this: 5 am, oldest's alarm goes off and she doesn't wake up, so I wake her and then go back to bed but I'm not entirely sure she actually got out the door on time. Got up out of bed at 7:30 and got the kids up. They make their own lunch (they have to if they want to eat, I'm in the shower.) The two middles depart leaving me with the kinder. Normally I drive him to school and his sibs walk him home, but today my ride is broken down so I walk with him to school. Thank heaven we don't have snow today.

When you said your ambition was Diet Coke, I started laughing because I actually had my bottle of Diet Coke tipped back and I was drinking as I read those words! lol

I so remember that chaotic morning push! Oy.
