Proud Mommy Moments-Fun Stuff

"Trick or treat,
smell my feet,
give me something good to eat!"

Well thank goodness they don't sing that one when they really go trick or treating.  Although, they happily sing it out loud and proud in the days leading up to Halloween.  No, I am happy to report that my kids are like most in that they open their bags and say, "Trick or treat" followed by a nice "Thank you." after.  However, this year, they decided to do some "tricks" for their treats.  It started with Ryan....

Picture that cute little blondie with his blue eyes, in his soldier costume coming to your door and saluting while saying in a firm tone, "Trick or treat soldier!"  He was getting upwards of 5 pieces of candy per household.  Upon seeing that, his sisters got in on the act.

From the Zombie Bride:  "Trick or BRAAAAAAAAINS!"

From the Pirate:  "Trick ARRRRR Treat"

I don't think they got as much as Ryan did, but they still got more than other kids because of their cleverness.  Maybe next year they will do skits!

Is it a proud mommy moment?  Sure!  They got a nice haul!  Eight pounds of candy between them!  What's your proud moment?

That is very clever! I think I would've given them all some extra candy too.

Holy cow that's a lot of candy!

And I love the catch phrases. Especially the brains one. Awesome!

They know how to work the system. Genius!
And every once in awhile, you get someone who asks you to do a trick and the kids go, "Huh?" Growing up, we had one neighbor who had all the kids doing cartwheels across the lawn!
