Even in the Cold....

It's Spring break here in (sometimes) sunny CA.  You know what that means right?  Warm weather.  Sunshine.  And swimming!  Well you have one right.  It was cold (for us CA types) checking in around 58 degrees.  It was cloudy.  Looking gloomy.  And these kids went swimming!  It was the 12/13 year old girls church class who were invited to go swimming.  The teacher told me I could bring Ryan and Emily if I wanted.

I did
And they happily came along and played
Despite the fact that they were freezing.

Be sure and come back tomorrow for my recap of DWTS!

Kids will do ANYTHING to go swimming. I bet my kids would swim when it's 40.

Our pool all summer long, it can be 100+ degrees and our pool only gets to about 70 which in water terms is freezing :)
My kids will go out barefoot in snow! I don't get it, but it looks like the kids had fun. :)

Lourie! What is up with Cali this year? We have not broken 70 degrees and are stuck with fog, sprinkles, and gray skies! Ugh! Enough already!

Ohh how I miss swimming.
It's snowing right now so I think it'll still be awhile before we get swim weather.

I thought it was a fun night with the American theme. I am so sad that Petra was voted off. I thought she was really good and so sweet.

Yep, we went to the beach here in SC a couple weeks ago. It was probably about 60 and Punky was in the ocean. Then freezing when she got out!

IT is always a good time to swim when you are a kid. Always!

Great pictures! Though I still think you are all insane, way too cold for me :)

Though that was about the temps that it was for Lucas swim lessons everyday last year.

It made me shivery just looking at the pictures. Our Grands swam on Friday...their lips were blue and their teeth were chattering..."Come in, Grandma," they shrieked, "Its' not cold!" Ummm... yeah...no!
