Random Thoughts

My friend told me that my blogs topic hit her news.  At first I was all, "no way!"  "MY blog!?"  For real?  Then I remembered I posted on my daughter's blog.  So I wanted to know which station it was so I could find the clip.  Then asked her if they quoted me or named the blog.  Then she said, "No, they talked about the same topic as you."  They didn't mention me.  Oh well.  It was 5 seconds of almost fame.

I went to Wal-Mart today to buy: dishwasher soap, dryer sheets, pop and Melatonin. I spent $42.  How does that happen?  Maybe that is better left for a Monday post!  It must have been that candle I bought that put me over the top.

Leftovers are awesome.  They are great for lunch and even better for dinner when you really don't feel like cooking.  It's also financially responsible.  Yeah, blah blah whatever.

Kristin has a cold.  She has been sneezing like crazy all day.  Going through tissue.  Ick.  Snot rags everywhere.  Sorry kid.  I do hope you feel better!  It sucks being sick.

Candy is good.  I wish it wasn't.  I wish I didn't like it.

The news is awful.  Rapes.  Murders.  Robberies.  I want a feel good segment!  "Human Interest Story!"  Something.

Tomorrow is the first elimination on DWTS.  Did you vote?  We are hardcore here.  We used 5 phones plus the internet.  If you are with AT&T you can text
your vote.  That's cool.  If you are with AT&T.  Which I am not.

Come back tomorrow for my recap of DWTS!

Comments

My husband does not understand how I can go to the store for ONE thing and end up spending over $100. Toilet paper, crackers, ice cream--I think I just don't realize what I really need until I get there. :)

I gotten better at going to Walmart--I take a list and try to avoid the dangerous areas for me--books and movies and video games. And the clothes too--I hate Walmart clothes--they shrink, but some of them are so cute.

Sorry to hear your brush with fame was not to be. Perhaps your five seconds will be extended next year when you are chosen as a contestant for DWTS.

I'm afraid to vote - I'm afraid that if I vote I will fall into the abyss of DWTS obsession like my mother.

I've made fun of her for 11 seasons and I can't swallow my pride enough to admit that I'm watching it and to discuss it with her.

I blame it on The Bachelor - I got sucked into that on Monday nights and now there isn't anything else on...what else am I supposed to do??

I LOVE LEFTOVERS!! :) (which you probably already figured lol) so many people around are getting sick lately! i wonder if its because of the change in weather. Try a few drops of oregano oil in your glass of water, I've heard it builds your immune system more than Vitamin C! (I don't understand how thats possible, maybe it has vitamin C in it or something)

I am so ready for your recap!! :)

You're famous in these circles. What more do you need? LOL! I'm sorry your girl is sick, but it may be allergies. It's that time of the year.

You're cracking me up with your voting! I vote for American Idol but only at the end. I'm too tired by the time these shows end to do a thing.

I haven't voted for ever for those shoes. I don't know why - don't want to waste my minutes I guess. We're cell phones only here.

And 5 seconds of almost fame is better that 0 seconds of no fame. You're famous to all of your followers - that makes you sound like a cult leader or something!

I am loving LOVING DWTS this season so far! I'll be with your posts all the way.
I was SO amazed at Kirstie Alley on the first show - I cannot get over that she is 60 already.
I like Hines Ward and of course Ralph. Good season!
Wendy is going - She is proof that all black people cannot dance!

Wow, you voted that much?? Who did you vote for?
I loathe Wally World only because I do over spend EVERY time I go. Leftovers I save them why??? so they can take up space in my frig....unless it's a fave like my home made lasagna all the rest ends up in the dog dish....could Kristin be suffering from Spring fever allergies ??? and I am sorry for my somewhat misleading text messages I was STILL very excited that your "post topic" was mentioned on our local news!! I have a bad way of wording things like ex I say "your blog" when actuality I should of said what you "posted" about made our news...anyhoo I was still impressed!
