It was my party and I didn't cry! I had a blast in fact. My cousin and his family came. Which meant our sons would get to play together. My mom, sister and niece were also there. A special bonus was my friend from high school came to join the festivities. We had my favorite dinner growing up sloppy joes and macaroni salad. My cake was a sinfully delicious chocolate cake with chocolate pudding, chocolate chips, and sour cream. The (killer) chocolate frosting was homemade. My sister rocks the chocolate cake makin' world!
I made out like a bandit. My husband bought me Rebecca Talley's new book, Altared Plans. My sis made me a scrapbook of the one and only beach trip we managed this year. My in laws gave me a gift card to Bath & Body works--which I already used! My mom gave me a gift card for Target and a box of my favorite candies! My high school gal pal gave me a gift card for DQ. Now I can be a piggy poo or I can share....hmmmm...must think this one through. My cousin's wife--Emmy--has offered to do a family photo shoot. Too cool. I can hardly wait.
It was a lot of fun and a lot of noise. I didn't have to cook or clean. Talk about pampering!

What a great party!
I didn't know you and Emmy were related! How fun, I can't wait to see your family photos!
It was a fun night! It was nice eating with just the grownups too :)
Yes, I am very excited to do the photo shoot. So you know, we will want to do it in the evening sometime, better lighting. I am thinking at the duck pond as that has a lot of great spots. So just let me know.
Nothin' better than food and family to make a great party. Glad you had a happy birthday.
Birthday parties are the best! Glad you had a great night.
Family pics at the Duck Pond sounds cool. Let's be sure to keep Ryan away from the edge until AFTER the pics are done, if you know what I mean.
