Can You Tell A Difference?

I am not one of those people who have a perfect house, that is always perfectly perfect. You know the kind I am talking about. You walk in the front door, and there is nothing, and I mean nothing lying around. Not a toy, not a shoe, nor a scrap of paper can be seen. Where did they hide it all? Are you like me, and get a sudden urge to go snooping in their closets or rooms that are closed off to the viewing public? I have been in houses, where there are in fact children and even the play room is not in udder chaos! How is this accomplished? I am not known for my housekeeping skills or my organizational skills! Rich would likely tell people that I am good at both. If anything, I am average at best. How I long to be orderly.

There are so many methods out there designed to help people like me. One such method is designed by FLYLADY. I am follower and I get the emails, problem is, I don't apply the methods. What's worse is I start a pile here and a pile there and pretty soon those piles have joined into one big pile.

One such big pile has grown to the point of coming alive. It is the pile that resides by "my corner." This area should consist of a little table for my computer, file cabinet, and a magazine holder. What it is now is an ever exploding pile of piles that have things I am sure I have long forgotten! So, I am taking charge. If I can get that area clean, maybe I can move forward to the next one! I may never have that perfectly clean house, but I can at least be proud that I don't have piles that can eat a small city lurking in all my open spaces.

Now...here it is before I started....please don't think any less of me....
My good camera is actually hiding somewhere in there.
Has progress been made?

I am going to continue working on it and sharing my progress. I found the good camera. It was safe. Now to create some floor space. Keep checking back to follow up with me. Keep me on my toes!

I don't appreciate you sneaking into my house and taking pictures of my mess. grrr. ;o)

At least you have piles. I have a "path," that is to say, as long as you don't mind stepping on things you can make it from one end of the house to the other.

We have piles that started when we moved here, and although they may have shrunk a little, they are still there. After three years.

More power to you! Wish I had some;).

I was thinking you must have found your camera when I saw the second picture :)
You can do it!! And if you want to drop Ryan off so you can spend a day cleaning your corner/enjoying the quiet in your house feel free to... well on a T/Th that is, when Lucas is home ;)

Nothing wrong with a good pile. It's like a dragon hoarding treasure. "MY stuff! MINE!"

I love Flylady's plan. I can't stay subscribed to her email list though because she sends out SO many that I just ignore them all :)

It would be so much easier if you did not have a million little cars and also trains to pick up first. That is just for starters.
