2010 Review Extravaganza!! April - June






It's week two of the 2010 Review Extravaganza!  We are covering April, May and June.  If you missed out on playing last week, no worries start up now!  There is no grading here.  So come and play along with all of us!

I missed something in last weeks post...it was my first blogiversary.  It was in Feb.  But really it was before that.  You can see my "return" post here.  I had a really weird incident with my glasses and losing a lens.  I never did find it.  I got tickled pink!

There were two earthquakes within about 2 months of each other and they were related to each other.  It was the Easter quake in the Mexi/Cali area.  That one was a pretty good shaker.  The second one got our attention but it wasn't quite as bad as the first.  

In May, Emmy had something really big happen.  I will let her do the honors.  I will just say that I took care of Lucas for a few days while he and Eric were here for Lucas' preschool graduation.  Curious to know what Emmy had going on?  Go check out her post!  But finish this one first, k.

In June, we got to reconnect with some old friends.  My BF whom I grew up with has a daughter who will be headed to college soon, and her daughter and her mother were out here scoping out colleges.  Sadly my BF didn't make it, but we did get to see her daughter and mom.  It was a great reunion!


We had that second quake.  It was while Kristin went to Girls Camp.  It was her first trip ever.  She had a total blast.  And she also missed that earthquake! We also got to meet some one very special....


June also was a special day for my Little Middle.  She turned ten this year!






And some where in those three months I also had a milestone...I lost my first ten pounds.  The post for that can be found here.  And I also started my third blog!!!

Earthquakes--geologically interesting, but not as interesting to live through. Yes, I'm a geologist. Cool recap!

I remember hearing about those earthquakes! I have family that lives in Blythe, CA and we were actually chatting on Facebook when one of them happened.

Aww we were a huge part of your lives those months huh? Or you were a huge part of ours. Thanks for taking care of Lucas :)

Crazy how quickly time goes. I am anticipating another shaker someday and just hoping it is a small one.

A Leave of Absence

I just wanted let you all know that I am taking a (short) leave of absence. I was feeling under the weather last Friday, and Saturday I was a lump. By Monday I felt almost normal again. Tuesday even better! By Wednesday night the whole left side of my face felt completely packed. Today(Thursday) I am at death's door. Or maybe it's at mine! All I know is, I haven't felt this crappy in a long time. I spent the day at my mom's and mostly slept. Thanks Mom. Now Rich is home and he is running the show. Dancing with the Stars---Dead

That is how the show was introduced on Halloween night.  "Dead, from Hollywood, it's Dancing with the Stars!"  with your host, Tom Boooo-geron! Oh and Brooke who didn't get a play on her name.  Tonight, the dances are all spooktacularly themed.  Plus there is also a team dance. David and Kym 1-800-868-3406 David and Kym are dancing The Cha Cha and David wants to add magic to the act, so they bring in a professional magician to help with some basic tricks.  I enjoyed their Cha Cha.  It was fun. Len said it had  lots of tricks and treats and that David turned himself into a dancer! Bruno told him he has got the prestige, and that he was a natural at turning tricks. Carrie Ann said his improvement was phenomenal. She said he was polished and finessed, but that he needed to work on his holds.
