Good News...I AM a Proud Mom!

Image
I am doing a double link up today because I am so "proud" that I had to call it, "Good News!"   I am linking up with EmmyMom , KMama , and Grumpy Grateful Mom .    Before I launch into the good stuff, let me say if you looked up "stubborn" in the dictionary you would see this face: That being said, this obstinate child is the source of my good news and proud mommy moment!  She made honor roll!  This is something she has been wanting to do since her big sister did it.  We are all very proud of her. Look at that grin! Big sis came for the assembly. What is your good news?  Is it a proud Mommy moment?

When Live Throws You Spark Plugs

If you remember yesterday's post, you remember that I said I had a meeting with Emily's IEP teacher.  My morning was busy as usual.  I got everyone where they needed to be.  I came home and read a few blogs before heading out to my appointment.  I even had time to put on make up!  I know, right! I was driving along just as nice as can be and after I turned a corner, I heard it.  The sound that only a flat tire can make.  At first I thought maybe I drifted onto the line and was hitting reflectors.  Nope.  Steady as she goes.  Nobody was honking wildly at me to get my attention.  I turned down the next street and pulled over as soon as I could. I could literally hear the air hissing out.  It is good I pulled over.  I think I prevented a full blow out.  I thought that was a big ginormous screw.  After making some phone calls, and getting my nephew there.  He told me otherwise... A spark plug!  I kept that bad boy.  It's my trophy.  I am even trying to think of something

Random Things...

Do you what time...SQUIRREL!  I forget stuff all the time.  It's bad.  Seriously.  Just Monday, I forgot to pack Kristin's lunch.  Sure she can do it. But again, I forget to tell her to do it.  In my foggy sleepy headedness (it's a word) I told her to make a lunch.  She is up before the sun folks!  She did.  She lived.  But man I felt bad.  I forget stuff all the time.  Large and small.  My mind is weak, and blond.  I'm screwed. My bed holds me captive.  It's true.  Every morning I struggle to get out, and every morning it holds me down.  It entices me with its warmth and softness.   News anchors are a pain in the butt.  And so predictable.  It rained a bit on Saturday, and all day yesterday.  It was cold too.  For us anyway.  As predicted(by me, and by anyone with a pulse), the news anchor turned to the weatherman....errr excuse me....METEOROLOGIST  and said, "When is the rain going to stop?" Stop?  Stop?  Really?  It rained for 12 hours.

Better Late Than....Well You Know...

I have been tagged by Becca at Everyday Life !  This is fun.  She picked 11 bloggers, and asked 11 questions.... Still here OK well here is how it works: Post these rules. 1. You must post 11 random things about yourself. 2. Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post. 3. Create 11 new questions for the people you tag to answer. 4. Go to their blog and tell them that you've tagged them. 5. No stuff in the tagging section about "you are tagged if you are reading this." Legitimately tag 11 people!! so #1, done. #2 eleven random things about myself: I have a wicked cool scar on my knee I can recite the entire movie:  The Wizard of Oz I met my husband at a Country bar I can bake chocolate chip cookies without looking at the recipe I am going to learn French Because my mom and I are going to Paris in two years It is her goal and dream to go and I want to be the interpreter. Plus I thought it would be fun to go off on my k
