Mom I need you to wipe my bottom. Mom he just put a booger on the floor. Mom what's for dinner? Mom can I....(just fill in the blank here) Mom I need to do a 500 page book report on the Inca's and include a map, a full scale model, and authentic clothing and it is due tomorrow. I'm not tired. Mom: What did you do in school/church today? Kid: I forgot. Will you buy me something? Do I have to? How much longer? She won't play with me. He won't share his toys. They won't let me play the game with them. Will you make brownies? Of course our children also say things that tickle our funny bone, and warm our hearts. What things have your kids said that only a mom hears?

Beauty and the Beast is probably my favorite Disney movie ever. The Little Mermaid comes in at a very close second. Beauty and the Beast is presented masterfully. The ballroom scene is amazing. Aside from the visual "beauty" this film amply gives, I love the overall feel of the movie. The grand musical productions. You almost forget it is a cartoon. Belle instantly became my favorite princess. She is strong, smart and fiercely independent. And of course like any other princess (to be) she is kind and gracious. And of course she can sing! Belle does not need saving. Another shinning quality about her. In fact, Belle does the saving in this story. She sacrifices herself to save her father's life. "Take me instead." she pleads to the beast. At the end as Gaston is battling against the Beast, it is Belle who comes to his aide. And that is what I love about her. She is not a sing songy wisp of a girl who pines for the day her prince will come.

Tonight's dances are The Quick Step and The Jive. These are both very difficult dances to conquer. And from now on all the stars only have 5 days to learn their dances. Rick Fox and Cheryl Burke The Jive 1-800-868-3404 Rick Fox has been called many things in his career as a Basketball player. One such name was "The Tank." A tank is not light in its movement. Neither is he. Unfortunately he sustained a ruptured tendon in his foot during his playing days. This makes it nearly impossible to dance on your toes and even harder to perform kicks which the Jive has many of. Okay, I have to be a little unforgiving here. Cheryl, you look like you just rolled out of bed! What's with that hair? Ahem. Rick, you may have bum foot, but you did a pretty good job. Let's see what the judges have to say! Sorry Tom (Bergeron) I am borrowing your lines. Len told him that his dance was compact fun and that he is a contender. Bruno began with what a beast this

This past Saturday marked my 17th wedding anniversary. I can hardly believe that picture is that old. Just look at those poofy sleeves! When he proposed there was no question in my mind. I knew the answer. I had no doubt. I was terrified on that day. I wasn't able to eat in the days prior. But still I knew without a doubt that I was going to marry this man. What was it about him? He could dance. That is how we met. He was in the military. I love a man in uniform. He likes to talk. A lot. So do I. He makes me laugh. I make him laugh. I think that part is really cool. He let's me cry when I need to. He is a lot a bit irreverent. So am I. He drives me crazy sometimes. But that is okay, because I know sometimes I drive him just as crazy. We fight. We make up. We work together to raise our children and to keep our marriage going. Neither one of us is perfect, but I can honestly say we were perfectly matched. It's been 17 years and I can't re
