DWTS Classical Night
Tonight everything is classical in the ballroom. Right down to having a live 46 person orchestra. Will it prove to be distracting or simply adding ambiance? I think it was a huge distraction. And not just for me, but for the pros and the celebs as well. They were having to upstage that orchestra. I want to see the dancers not the orchestra.
Romeo, Romeo wherefore is thine garment? Seriously, why is this a must for you? Well whatever. Chelsie took him to play some basket ball to help him associate focus and aggression for their dance. The Paso Doble. If he wasn't so hooked on himself I might like him. The dance was good. But, I saw not one but two lifts! Watch out for the lift Nazi! At the end of the dance, Romeo had taken off his vest revealing his once again bare chest.

Len scolded him for it. "Have a little decorum! You don't see me flaunting myself about!" He added that the dance was full of passion. Attack. Intensity. "You're like a young cult. Chelsie, you got to get the whip out!"
Bruno told him the dance was focused and action packed. He commended him for working with such difficult music and the fact that he managed to get it right.

Kendra Wilkinson and Louis Van Amstel 1-800-868-3407
Kendra and Louis are dancing The Vieneese Waltz tonight. Kendra, in the back story interviews says how she is completely screwed because she is supposed to be graceful. I think she needs an attitude adjustment. She did very well in rehearsal, but on the dance floor she was too much in her own head and ended up being very stiff.
Bruno began very softly, "Kendra you messed up. You know that." He told her that the technique is very difficult and she needed to become one with the character. Live it. Kendra argued that she only had 4 days to learn the dance. Yes, Kendra you and the 8 remaining couples.
Carrie Ann told her that she could see that she was trying really hard. And added that this was not easy choreoagraphy. And she told her that she stopped the elegance from coming up.
Len said it had flow and movement. And then he chastised Bruno for being cruel. Okay Len stop drooling on the bunny chick!

Len wasn't as impressed as me. He said that was a little more poetry in her feet and legs. And that he was more impressed than depressed. Then added it was a little brittle.
Bruno said it was not Petra. It's Carrrrrrrrmen. (As in the Opera) A woman that knows what she wants. And knows how to get it. And she will! Bruno proceeds to tear his blazer off with cheers and screams from the audience. Tom warns them not to encourage him.
Carrie Ann said that Petra is on a roll. That she was confident and absolutely gorgeous. She reminded her to work on her core strength.

Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas 1-800-868-3401
Chelsea and Mark are dancing their Viennese Waltz to the theme from Harry Potter. Chelsea wants Mark to push her this week. And he does. Now dancing to this particular music is not an easy thing. And I can see why they chose to be so fun and unconventional. However....
Len said to Mark, "It is no doubt you are a marvelous teacher. And Chlesea you are a fantastic dancer. Why is it there's something I don't like each week?" Bruno begins waving an imaginary wand exclaiming, "Expeliomous, Voledmort, Expeliomous!" Len retorts with, "Why don't you jump on your Nimbus 2000 and bugger off!" Len went onto explain that the dance is 300 years old and should be treated as such. He added that overall he liked it.
Bruno said it was magical and fabulous and "Musical and delicious." He added that it was the best dance of the night.
Carrie Ann said that sometimes she agrees with Len. But tonight..."I agree with BRUNO!'

Then Len insisted that the music conquered him. Dude, wait what? Which dance did you watch!? He was going to say more, but was cut off. Who knows if he would have said that he liked the performance.

Len said that the novement needs flow more. That her footwork needs to be cleaner. And her posture needs to be stronger.
Bruno said, "I thought you did amazingly well. You were light on your feet. Despite what happened you did fantastic!

Tonights elimination: Sugar Ray Leonard and Anna Trebunskya. Sadly there was too much chaos going on around me so I missed what he had to say. He will be missed, but I bet we will see him in the audience rooting for the rest. And we will see him and all those who get eliminated on the season finale.
Comments
Kirstie Alley reminds me of Tonya Harding. I love her, don't get me wrong and the PEOPLE love her but geeze, talk about drama!
I LOVED Chris Jericho's dance. I'm with you on this one, it was intense, crisp and had a ton of energy. I didn't get what Len was talking about.
Great review as always!
And I really hope Chelsea stays many more weeks.
;-)
Great recap as always and yes you should be paid :)
