CA Girl

I can easily come up with five things to write about as I am a lover of words.  However, to post five photos every week is a huge challenge for me.  My kids do not let me take their picture.  I have to be very sneaky.  I can only take so many pictures of the cats.  I find instead, that I collect pictures that people post(no I am not creeper I am not collecting children!)  I collect scenic views, quotes and so on.  Occsionally I take a selfie, a picture of a kid, but mostly...it's hard.  That being said... 1.  The one thing we did over Spring break was see Captain America:  The Winter Soldier.  Go see it.  It's very good, intense, and of course because it is Marvel has its funny moments too.  Plus as you know stay for all the credits.  ;) 2.  As a member of The Church of Jesus of Christ of Latter-day Saints, my family and I watched General Conference this past weekend. 3.  A water main broke about 2 m...

It's Friday!!  The Weekend!  The end of Spring Break...wait what? 1.  It's the end of Spring break.   It's a mixed bad.  I didn't get to sleep in everyday.  In fact, I hardly slept in any days.  I did enjoy the stress free mornings of not having to rush everyone around.  What a drag.  What I won't miss...everything MINE CRAFT.  If you don't have a kid between 7 and 12 consider yourself lucky. 2.  Captain America: The Winter Soldier...still trying to figure out when we are going to see this movie.  So excited about it. 3.  The Pirate Fairy.  Yes, I totally bought it because Tom Hiddleston is James Hook.  However, the movie is adorable.  It has all kinds of Peter Pan references and I laughed so much.  And just so you know Hook is a COD FISH!  He's a meanie butt!  I reccommend this movie to anyone. 4.  "Life is what happens when your busy making other plans."  Do you know who sa...

I have been thinking about this a lot lately. Who I am and who I aspire to be...let's get the obvious out of the way.  Wife.  Mother.  Yes, yes...I am those things.  I am proud to be those things.  I would not be a mother of three of the most beautiful, intelligent, ridiculous, fun beings I have the pleasure of knowing if it weren't for being a wife.  This is part of who I am.  I would not have children without a partner.  Why?  Because I am a Christian.  Yep.  I am.  Not only am I a Christian, but get this, I am a member of The Church of Jesus of Christ of Latter-day Saints.  Yep.  I am very  slightly unconventional at times with my love for all things geeky, but I stand by my morals, and everything I am taught. I am taught this:  to love my neighbor (yeah even the ones who wrong me...that's hard!)  But I am also taught to love everyone.  Everyone.  Guess what?  I do love all people. ...

Hey, I am really exicted this week, because not only am I linking up with my bestie but I am also hosting with her.  If you check out Emmy's blog you will see the questions she asked me.  Otherwise you will never know what my favorite super power would be. 1.  Spring break started off with a bang.  Ryan got sick...like real sick.  He was fine and them BAM!  He spiked a fever and went down.  He counted each time he threw up...I'm not talking episode, I'm talking every. single. time.  It was TEN!  Poor baby. 2.  We watched THOR the Dark World.  His choice.  What?  He has to twist my arm?   3.  I'm taking a history class now, and my final report is going to be on women in history.  I am super excited about it.  We rock.  It started with EVE! 4.  I have lost 8. 6 pounds.  it has not been easy, but now people are noticing.  I better keep it up! 5.  ...

Friday means five now..
