Old School Blogging

Image
Two days in a row????  The world really must be coming to an end!  Is it the sign of a trend?  I don't know about that. I do know that all day Wednesday I was gone, and when I was at home all I wanted to do was sit.  However, if I sit too long I fall asleep.  Does anyone else have this problem?  I digress, let's get on with why we are really here!  I was tagged by Shell , of Things I Can't Say , this time.  I felt really bad about this one, because I didn't even know.  How bad am I?  I really need to get back into the blogging thing.  It's all about working it into the schedule. What were you doing ten years ago? Ten years ago, we were living in Fort Belvoir, VA.  Ryan wasn't even born yet.  Rich had just made Chief, and it looked like we were moving to Alaska.  Luckily, that never happened and we stayed in VA until Rich retired in 07. What are 5 things on your to do list? 1.  Homework...meaning ...

I Got Tagged....TWICE

Image
I was tagged old school by my bestie, Emmy .  I was tagged, and she had the nerve to call me a PUNK!! She called me a punk simply because I haven't blogged for a few days.  All right, a few MONTHS!  I really do miss this community of fabulous women, and in some cases men, I have met.  So I am glad she tagged me and called me a PUNK!   The directions are as follows: Display the award logo on your blog: Check! Link back to the person(s) who nominated you: Nominate 15 bloggers for this award:  yea I am doing 7 State 7 things about yourself. Notify those bloggers of the nomination by linking to one of their specific posts so that they get notified by pingback.  (huh?)  I haven't learned that trick!  I bet it's cool though! 1.  I hate confrontation, but if I am pushed to my limit I will go bat crap crazy. 2.   I have a new addiction to Plants vs. Zombies 3.  I also have a g...

College Life: Check Me Out

If you are curious about what or how I am doing in college, here is a taste.  It was suggested to me by a bloggy friend that I should post work from time to time.  Now, these pieces are just discussion pieces, and not full assignments.  The discussions are set up so that students can learn from one another.  The first discussion is about how to write to a strong thesis.  I realize you do not have the text to go with my piece, but work with me, k.  The second discussion is analyzing a narrative written by Mr. Steve Martin after his father died.  We were asked to identify the types of narrative he used, his thesis, and his intended audience. I will put the link to the article at the end of my discussion piece.  Enjoy!             My family tells me that I make the best chocolate chip cookies in the world.  I don’t know for certain if that is entirely true, but as I read thro...

Random Stuff and Maybe a Question

Image
I tell ya, I have no time management skills.  No memory.  And no sense of direction.  I just kind of go.  Does anybody else do this?  Or is just me? We made a film yesterday.  Have you ever heard of, or watched, "Finding BigFoot?"  It's quite amusing actually.  These people seriously go from place to place in search of, you guessed it... BIGFOOT!  They do some pretty crazy stuff.  And it is very easy to make fun of.  Well one evening we started making up this elaborate scene and it escalated into a little mini episode.  Kristin was the master mind behind it.  She quickly wrote a script using what we joked about and adding to it.  There was talk of finding a fresh pile of Sasquatch poop.  So I jokingly said I wonder if I could MAKE some.  There is a world of recipes out there for POOP!  It's crazy.  So I made some edible poop!  Yep.  Edible poop! It's nuts and melted chocolate. ...
