To Whom it May Concern: Have you ever felt this way?  I am feeling this way today.  No, maybe it's been building up.  I am not sure.  Just one of those times where you have to what is the expression...put your big girl panties on deal with it!  But man sometimes I just want to forget about it.  Lay low for a while.... Of course I would need lots of supplies.... A girl has to have chocolate.... And I have to have my Diet Coke.   It's all good.  I will snap back.  Don't we always.  Especially when there is chocolate in the world.  ;)

I wouldn't call this one a Proud Mommy Moment, but I really hate being left out!!!  So I am playing anyway.  This is just one of those moments in time that tickle me.  As your kids age their schedules get bigger and your life is really not yours.  Emily's life is still pretty simple.  School mostly.  But she also has Activity Days twice a month.  This is for the girls ages 8-11 in our church.  They meet every other week for an activity and spiritual lesson.  She is really blossoming with this.  It's great. Kristin....oh my Kristin...well for her life...you can read an article I wrote all about her here .  Well yesterday she was not going to be home until after 6:30.  Emily was home around 6 and I had to pick up Rich and Kristin....so that left me and Ryan eating dinner alone.  Ryan said, "We are having a private dinner." sometimes that kid melts my heart. It's Tuesday and that means it is time to be random.  I am all about random.  I watched the new show on ABC called GCB....it stands for Good Christian B*tches.  Well, apparently, this offended some for real good Christian b*tches when the full title was said in commercials.  *eye roll*  So now they simply say GCB.  Whatever.  It's a step further than DH.  I enjoyed it.  I have a leak.  I am not sure what the issue is.  It is definitely coming from my tub though.  And the leak is going into my garage.  It's not good.  And once again I am brought to this quote from John Lennon, "Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans."  So true. Did you know that I am a huge fan of The Monkees?  As in I had a shrine in my room.  I am too young to be a first generation fan.  I wasn't even born yet for heaven sake!  I am a second generation fan.  I got hooked in when MTV ran a marathon one weekend.  It's possible "the guys" as we fans affectionately called them, hosted the marathon.  I just remember getting hooked.  I also remember first being attracted to the little English short one...aka..Davy Jones... I actually love them all!  I have seen them in concert six different times.  I have met Micky, Davy and Peter.  And Mike I have seen at a distance.  Does that count?  I ran a fan club with a good friend of mine.  Not only did I attend concerts, I also went to conventions, I saw them receive their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame!  We are still waiting for their place in the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame!  So last week, when I received this text... ...

Mark your calendars for Monday March 19th.  Dancing with the Stars is back for its 14th season, and I am excited.  Do I really have to wait two whole weeks!??  Sadly, yes.  But at least we now know who the cast is... Gladys Knight!  Please tell me I don't have to explain who she is.  She is paired with Tristan McManus.  This is his Sophmore season.  I really like him.  He is patient and sweet and a good dancer.  Plus he is funny.  Our resident jock...Donald Driver.  He may be a super star now, but he grew up homeless and had a number of other obstacles to overcome.  I am intrigued to see his story unfold.  The football players are usually surprisingly light on their feet.  Will he be?  His partner:  Petra Murgatroyd also in her Sophmore season. When you have a sister who is outspoken, and a brother who is ... well... who makes his presence known, you often get overlooked. Sometimes that is okay.  Especially if you are more like a wallflower.  Or if you embarrass easy.  But somewhere inside lurks a star who wants out.   She is there.  If you watch her, you just might catch her. But be careful, if she sees you...she will hide once again... So imagine my surprise when my Little Middle tried out for the school talent show.  She did improv.  At this point, I do not know if she made it.  And it really doesn't matter.  The fact that she got herself up on that stage and put herself out there is enough for me!  I couldn't be more proud.
