Friday Five: It's Been a Bad Week

It's time for Friday Five with Emmy!  It's been quite a week...are you ready....?

1.  Do you have one of those weeks?  Yep.  Me too.  I am glad it is almost over.  It came in like a lion.  I sure hope it goes out like a lamb!  Sheesh.

2.  One thing that happened was that a high school kid had a stroke of brilliance stupidity and on an app called "YIKYAK" which is anonymous, has no usernames, and has GPS in it(great right) this student made a threat to shoot up the school...oh did I mention that this was at MY KID's SCHOOL!  yeah!  It's been a bad week.  Nothing happened.  Security was up twice as much.  Cops were crawling all over the place.  But yeah...it was bad.  For more info about YIKYAK you can go here and here.

3.  I saw a fox yesterday...no I wasn't at the zoo.  It ran out across the street.  Pretty little thing.  

4.  Kristin and I have a new insult thanks to dear Mr. Shakespeare.  "egg."  Yep, that's it.  "egg."  Just like that.  It's from Macbeth.  "What, you egg!"  

5.  To add insult to injury...I am in currently in a math class.  I will leave it at that.

Sorry to hear about your daughter's school threat. I hope your weekend goes better...love the pictures of the kids...those shoes are adorable.

I had a day like that yesterday. I would go into detail but am sure no one wants to read it! Suffice to say that bad days help us appreciate the good ones. Hope today is one of those for you, hugs.

I've been hearing about YikYak as well and it's only a matter of time to see a threat at my kids' school as well. Technology definitely has a downside though I'm glad the threat came to nothing. Hope next week is better for you! Those shoes! Love them but I probably wouldn't have bought them either. My life is much more of a ballet flats kind of life!

Yikes, any threat is a scary thing. Glad it turned out to be no big deal. Technology and kids can sometimes be a terrible combination.

So glad the threat turned out to be just a threat and yea that app while the intentions for it's invention may have been good is just no good and so much trouble.

Those shoes are great! I wish I lived closer I would help you with math... though I really seem to suck as a teacher, I understand it but it just gets jumbled coming out if I try and teach, so maybe not.

I just wanted let you all know that I am taking a (short) leave of absence. I was feeling under the weather last Friday, and Saturday I was a lump. By Monday I felt almost normal again. Tuesday even better! By Wednesday night the whole left side of my face felt completely packed. Today(Thursday) I am at death's door. Or maybe it's at mine! Dancing with the Stars---Dead

That is how the show was introduced on Halloween night.  "Dead, from Hollywood, it's Dancing with the Stars!"  with your host, Tom Boooo-geron! Oh and Brooke who didn't get a play on her name.  Tonight, the dances are all spooktacularly themed.  Plus there is also a team dance. David and Kym 1-800-868-3406 David and Kym are dancing The Cha Cha and David wants to add magic to the act, so they bring in a professional magician to help with some basic tricks.  I enjoyed their Cha Cha.  It was fun. Len said it had  lots of tricks and treats and that David turned himself into a dancer! Bruno told him he has got the prestige, and that he was a natural at turning tricks. Carrie Ann said his improvement was phenomenal. She said he was polished and finessed, but that he needed to work on his holds.
