Proud Mommy Moments...Why Yes They Are Mine!

I am participating in Proud Mommy Moments with Emmy and Kmama.








As I thought about this post, I had a hard time deciding what I would brag post about.  You see, it's been a rather crazy week in the CA home.  What with all the drama surrounding Little Middles schooling.  If you missed that post, you can catch it here.  And there was the whole event of registering my teenager for high school.  During all of that drudgery, my kids were obedient, they didn't fight, there were no fits, no cries of boredom, they simply went on with me.  And it was never a few minutes here and there.  It was always long and usually hot.  And they did it with out grumbling.

Today is the first day of school.  It's strange because, one is already there.  The teenager.  She starts high school today.  And they start before 8.  She was up at 5:30.  I am guessing she was.  I was still asleep.  I woke up praying she was up and ready and not still passed out.  She was up, dressed and raring to go.  Will this be true next week when Seminary (Bible Study) starts?  I do not know.  All I know is, it's been a fantastic morning.  No squabbling, no rushing.  I know every morning won't be this way, but this morning has been this way.  I don't have pictures yet, as I haven't finished taking them...maybe tomorrow.  I am a proud Mama today.

Why was she up so early if there wasn't seminary yet? Wouldn't it be wonderful if every morning was like that! And your kids really did great- I know mine would have been fussing with all of that waiting. Can't wait to hear how school went.

I'll bet she was super excited to be going to High School :) Toward the end, she'll probably be kicking and screaming.. haha :)

My oldest child is still only 7, but I usually have to drag her out of be on school mornings!

awesome!!! she's probably so excited to be starting highschool at a new place! I remember when I went from junior high to high school, it was like a new world, new people, which means new clothes, new people and new outlooks!

Isn't it so nice when the kids behave and just do what their supposed to? I so appreciate those times, as they are few and far between.

What a tender mercy for you that there was no grumbling! Probably because they knew it was for them, and they were excited? Hopefully most mornings go like this for you. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you.

I just wanted let you all know that I am taking a (short) leave of absence. I was feeling under the weather last Friday, and Saturday I was a lump. By Monday I felt almost normal again. Tuesday even better! By Wednesday night the whole left side of my face felt completely packed. Today(Thursday) I am at death's door. Or maybe it's at mine! Dancing with the Stars---Dead

That is how the show was introduced on Halloween night.  "Dead, from Hollywood, it's Dancing with the Stars!"  with your host, Tom Boooo-geron! Oh and Brooke who didn't get a play on her name.  Tonight, the dances are all spooktacularly themed.  Plus there is also a team dance. David and Kym 1-800-868-3406 David and Kym are dancing The Cha Cha and David wants to add magic to the act, so they bring in a professional magician to help with some basic tricks.  I enjoyed their Cha Cha.  It was fun. Len said it had  lots of tricks and treats and that David turned himself into a dancer! Bruno told him he has got the prestige, and that he was a natural at turning tricks. Carrie Ann said his improvement was phenomenal. She said he was polished and finessed, but that he needed to work on his holds.
