Let's Get Random


Emmy and I have decided to start a new tradition.  Each time we get together we take a picture of us together.  So far, we have managed it.
I finally got Emily all settled at the right school.  The middle school.  And now am receiving emails from the elementary school.  I wonder when I will start receiving truancy notices.

My car battery died on the first day of school.  Dead.  Nothing.  Luckily everyone was safe and at school.  And I was fortunate enough to be at a gas station.  I got a jump, but it was only enough to get me home.  I needed a new battery.   I got the new battery, and now...my AC --in the car--doesn't work.  D'oh!

I got to see my little baby grand nephew.  He's so sweet.  But, I just might be a little biased....what do you think?

I haven't used them yet, but I bought some Nestle dark chocolate chips.  I want chocolate chip cookies now.
We watched the International Space Station fly over two nights in a row.  With the binoculars, you could actually see the outline of it.  It was quite cool.  Ryan was confused by it for it a while.  He kept thinking we were going to a rocket.  It took some serious explaining that it was not only NOT a rocket, but also in OUTER space. 

So far, my freedom and quiet---the kids returning to school--has been very busy.  I don't expect it to calm down any.  My life is never calm.  I always have somewhere to be, something to do.  I just get to do it sans kids.  Yes, that is a blessing.  But it is also bittersweet.

I like our new tradition.. speaking of when are we getting together again?? :)

Oh, so cute! The car battery stinks, and even more so the AC. I have been without for three years now, and am hoping we can get it fixed this year. Fingers are crossed! Although the year is mostly over. Sigh. It is good to be busy, and I find I get a lot more done without the kids around, so I hope the same is for you.

Such a great tradition. Sometimes the people you are closest too, you don't even have pictures with! Especially if you are always behind the camera!

I just wanted let you all know that I am taking a (short) leave of absence. I was feeling under the weather last Friday, and Saturday I was a lump. By Monday I felt almost normal again. Tuesday even better! By Wednesday night the whole left side of my face felt completely packed. Today(Thursday) I am at death's door. Or maybe it's at mine! Dancing with the Stars---Dead

That is how the show was introduced on Halloween night.  "Dead, from Hollywood, it's Dancing with the Stars!"  with your host, Tom Boooo-geron! Oh and Brooke who didn't get a play on her name.  Tonight, the dances are all spooktacularly themed.  Plus there is also a team dance. David and Kym 1-800-868-3406 David and Kym are dancing The Cha Cha and David wants to add magic to the act, so they bring in a professional magician to help with some basic tricks.  I enjoyed their Cha Cha.  It was fun. Len said it had  lots of tricks and treats and that David turned himself into a dancer! Bruno told him he has got the prestige, and that he was a natural at turning tricks. Carrie Ann said his improvement was phenomenal. She said he was polished and finessed, but that he needed to work on his holds.
