I confess...

I am a huge bit of a nerd.  We rented RANGO on demand the other day.  The kids loved it.  A confession within a confession--Ryan can be hard to watch a movie with and a total blast.  This one he was the ladder.  His reactions to things were classic.  I digress.  Whether or not you have seen this movie is not important, there is a snake...Jake the Snake.  He's a bad dude.  Real bad.  And his voice was bugging me.  Now I have hearing issues, but if I hear an actor that sounds familiar I am hitting IMDB before the next line is uttered.  He sounded like Davey Jones from the Pirates movies.  Minus the English accent.  Jake had a Southern Drawl.  But there was something about his voice and the delivery and I just couldn't let it go.  So I went looking.  And sure enough.  It was indeed the same actor.  See.  Nerd.

I confess...

I had a chocolate shake from Jack -in-the-Box last night.  But in my defense, I think I earned it.  What a day!  What a couple of days!  Getting my two daughters registered for school has been (and continues to be a hoop jumping--red tape maneuvering nightmare)  Right now I have Kristin all set for school.  Finally!  Yippe.  And for $26 less than I anticipated.  She is raring to go!  Emily is nearly there.  And that my friends, is another blog for another day!  Ryan is done.  He is easy.  First grade yo!  I just need to get the phone call to see who his teacher will be.  Should get that call today.  And I think I have about two more laps for Emily.  We will get there.  School starts on the 11th.  We will make it.
I confess...

I have a lot that needs to be done around the house.  But instead I am going to go and play with my friend, Emmy!  And well our kids get to play too.  We planned this a while ago.  And hey, I deserve it.  The mess isn't going to suddenly clean itself.  But wouldn't that be so cool if it did?  And the laundry will wait for me to put it away.  
I confess...

I want to sleep for about 30 hours.  Sometimes I think I will go to bed at 10.  And then I go to bed at midnight as usual.

It has been a very long week.  It feels more like a month.  I am ready for it to be over.

I can't believe people are talking about school already. I have so enjoyed school being out for the summer. We live very near a high school and the morning school traffic is enough for me to wish the school was always on summer break :)

Sounds like I'm glad I went through the Missouri school systems... it was easy to enroll.

You know, had you been foreign you'd have been right in school... ok that was mean, but add illegal in there and you'd have been good as gold. Ok I'll quit, for now :)

I think yours is the first good review I have heard of Rango- most seemed to not like it

My husband and son loved Rango. I was OK with it, but they thought it was pretty cool.
I am the same way about actors. If I recognize them even a bit it drives me nuts to figure out where else I've seen them. IMDB is my friend.

good luck on those last final laps. We have all teens here so getting ready for school is tense. So much to do and it has to be "just right" oh well soon they will all be back to a regular schedule! Yippeeeee

A Leave of Absence

I just wanted let you all know that I am taking a (short) leave of absence. I was feeling under the weather last Friday, and Saturday I was a lump. By Monday I felt almost normal again. Tuesday even better! By Wednesday night the whole left side of my face felt completely packed. Today(Thursday) I am at death's door. Or maybe it's at mine! All I know is, I haven't felt this crappy in a long time. I spent the day at my mom's and mostly slept. Thanks Mom. Now Rich is home and he is running the show. Dancing with the Stars---Dead

That is how the show was introduced on Halloween night.  "Dead, from Hollywood, it's Dancing with the Stars!"  with your host, Tom Boooo-geron! Oh and Brooke who didn't get a play on her name.  Tonight, the dances are all spooktacularly themed.  Plus there is also a team dance. David and Kym 1-800-868-3406 David and Kym are dancing The Cha Cha and David wants to add magic to the act, so they bring in a professional magician to help with some basic tricks.  I enjoyed their Cha Cha.  It was fun. Len said it had  lots of tricks and treats and that David turned himself into a dancer! Bruno told him he has got the prestige, and that he was a natural at turning tricks. Carrie Ann said his improvement was phenomenal. She said he was polished and finessed, but that he needed to work on his holds.
