Proud Mommy Moments: Pride and Shame

Sometimes we have moments of pride that cause our hearts to swell and faces to beam with pride.  Well you all know what happens with pride right?  We are usually humbled all to quickly.  So for today's Proud Mommy Moments I thought I would share two since I have both ends of the spectrum. 

If you saw my post yesterday, then you know we took a trip to the OC and saw the Crystal Cathedral.  As we toured the grounds we saw many statues with quotes from the bible.  Imagine how my heart soared as my five year old read this one without help or even being asked...
"Let the one who is without sin cast the first stone"
I was floored!  Amazed.  He read it again for his sisters and aunt who didn't get to hear him.  Yes, that was a proud moment!  What a great reader he is!  That's my son!

Fast forward to the next day when Kristin and her friend had washed my car.  Afterward, Kristin had put on her sweats over her bathing suit.  They are a little big on her.  She took off running and well they slid off.  Good thing she had on her swimsuit.  Well Ryan must have thought that was just hilarious.  He also must have wanted to see what that was like and quickly pantsed himself.
Yep, that's my son.  A proud moment indeed.

Lol! Yes perfect PMM! Too too funny. And that is awesome reading- so fun when they learn things and amaze us like that. And the picture is definitely black mail worthy :)

Funny that he lets you take a picture too - my 5 yr old lost his pants one day in the woods (too much stuff in his pockets) and let me take a pic HAHA

How wonderful though that he read the bible verse! That rocks!

I just wanted let you all know that I am taking a (short) leave of absence. I was feeling under the weather last Friday, and Saturday I was a lump. By Monday I felt almost normal again. Dancing with the Stars---Dead

That is how the show was introduced on Halloween night.  "Dead, from Hollywood, it's Dancing with the Stars!"  with your host, Tom Boooo-geron! Oh and Brooke who didn't get a play on her name.  Tonight, the dances are all spooktacularly themed.  Plus there is also a team dance. David and Kym 1-800-868-3406 David and Kym are dancing The Cha Cha and David wants to add magic to the act, so they bring in a professional magician to help with some basic tricks.  I enjoyed their Cha Cha.  It was fun.
