Ten on Tuesday

Roots and Rings


I am participating in a new meme this week.  Well new to me anyway!  Have you been to Roots and Rings?  Well me either!  I found her through my very good friend who just started her blog last week!  Wow.  Ten on Tuesday asks ...you guessed it, ten questions.  Since I have never done it before I don't know if they are random or themed.  Though this week's seems like it has a theme!

1. Any vacations you are looking forward to this summer?  We have been talking about going to San Francisco.  We used to live in the Bay Area and I would love to take the kids there.
2. What is your favorite article of summer clothing (shoes are included)?  I love my sandals and shorts/capris.  It's just comfy.
3. What is your favorite summer drink (alcoholic or non)?  I am a Diet Coke girl year round.
4. Do you tan or burn?  If I put on sunscreen nothing happens.  If I forget...well I burn.  When I was a kid though I tanned.
5. Any goals you are working toward this summer?  To rock the bathing suit.
6. What is your favorite summertime food?  Ice cream!!  Nah, I eat that stuff in sub zero temps too!  I love summer fruits.  Pretty much any type.
7. What song most says “summer” to you?  I just keep thinking of Beach Boys tunes.  Which is odd because I don't go out of my way to listen to them.  How about, "No more school, no more books, no more...." I won't say the rest.  hehehe.
8. Any home improvement goals planned for this summer?  Planned no.  Dreaming?  Perhaps.  I would love to move my oven.  Yeah...it's in the wall and there are cupboards under the range where the oven is supposed to be.  I mean who thought this up.  Plus it is ridiculously small.  I mean seriously, this is a 4 bedroom home.  How is a puny little apt size oven going to work?  Another fix would be the dryer vent.  It vents into the garage.  Yeah that's not at all dangerous. 
9. What is one thing you hate to see at the beach? Ummmmm.....

 
10. Did you ever go to a summer camp? Yep.  Unfortunately I was the subject of many jokes and pranks and had no desire to return in the following years.

My only summer camp experience was with church camp--totally different than most summer camps.
I'm looking forward to camping this summer. We have fabulous newish camper to got play in.

Ah, Summer. How I miss it. I am actually getting really excited for Summer right now. I just miss it. thanks for the dreaming.

Hey a trip to the bay area this summer might just be the perfect thing ;)

I wish I would tan even just a little.. but yeah it doesn't really happen with me.

ahhh man I had a very busy day yesterday....then the slow rising migraine so I didn't get the chance to participate... Summer I am kinda dreading this one Huge changes in store for me...on a bright note tho I will be able to see YOU live and in person! You can rock the bathing suit while I dip my feet in the sand in my capris hee hee

I burn more than tan now too. Although I've avoided the sun for the last 12 years or so.

A Leave of Absence

I just wanted let you all know that I am taking a (short) leave of absence. I was feeling under the weather last Friday, and Saturday I was a lump. By Monday I felt almost normal again. Tuesday even better! By Wednesday night the whole left side of my face felt completely packed. Today(Thursday) I am at death's door. Or maybe it's at mine! All I know is, I haven't felt this crappy in a long time. I spent the day at my mom's and mostly slept. Thanks Mom. Now Rich is home and he is running the show. Dancing with the Stars---Dead

That is how the show was introduced on Halloween night.  "Dead, from Hollywood, it's Dancing with the Stars!"  with your host, Tom Boooo-geron! Oh and Brooke who didn't get a play on her name.  Tonight, the dances are all spooktacularly themed.  Plus there is also a team dance. David and Kym 1-800-868-3406 David and Kym are dancing The Cha Cha and David wants to add magic to the act, so they bring in a professional magician to help with some basic tricks.  I enjoyed their Cha Cha.  It was fun. Len said it had  lots of tricks and treats and that David turned himself into a dancer! Bruno told him he has got the prestige, and that he was a natural at turning tricks. Carrie Ann said his improvement was phenomenal. She said he was polished and finessed, but that he needed to work on his holds.
