DWTS Instant Dancing!?
Tonight on DWTS, the stars are faced with not only performing two dances, but one of them they will not know what their music is until they take the stage. Now that is just crazy! But I can't wait to see how they do. "Instant Dance" is what it is called, and Len says it is more like a Ballroom style of competition. Bruno says they have less than an hour before going on the stage. Only five remain and this is the true test of their abilities.

Carrie Ann exclaims her crush on Kyle is back! Well, she has been behaving so I guess I will allow it. She told him the elegance was back, and it was like they were dancing on clouds. It really was!

Carrie Ann begged to differ telling her it was the most intensity they have EVER seen from her. Then she told Bristol she was lacking energy in her legs.

Kyle and Lacey are the first to do the "instant dance"--The Jive-- is their dance and the song is, "Good Golly Miss Molly." They had about 20 minutes of rehearsal time with the music. I am officially wowed by this boy. That is no easy feet. And he did fabulous! Way to go Kyle. Len said his energy was high and that other than the other two going crazy... "It was wild and whacky, and I enjoyed it!" He told him it needed a little more finesse. Bruno told him he danced like he was at the top of the leader board. He went on to say that he looked like he had rehearsed it for months. "I loved every second of it!" And Carrie Ann said, "That was by far the most fun I had ever had as a viewer."

Jennifer and Derek are dancing the Rumba to "Waiting For A Girl Like You." Did they say she had a knee injury? Yeah that picture up there is from their Rumba. I can't do that. Their Rumba was...Wow...sexy sassy! Bruno shooting up out of his chair in all his Brunosity exclaimed, "What is going on tonight!? This challenge is bringing out the best in people! This was just breath taking sensual and flawless." Carrie Ann told them they captured the moment. Len said that what he loves about dancing is the varaition. "That's what makes great dancing. And that's what we've just seen!"

Kurt and Anna's instant dance is the Cha cha to the tune of "Hella Good" Anna choreographs to counts and not lyrics and she says that Kurt doesn't work that way." But he did! He danced better than I have ever seen him dance. He was on fire and having a total blast. Carrie Ann started with how musicality was never his strong suit, but that tonight he did it and with a whole lot of charisma and sex appeal. Len said he did extrememly well. "Knowing the music is a safety net. Not knowing makes you more focused on the dance." Bruno said, "You came out here, you let it lose and you had fun and you went for it. You did good!"

Bristol and Mark are dancing the Samba...they gave her such a hard dance and song..."Mas Que Nada" Not as strong as the others but for Bristol well done. She lost her footing a couple of times. Len said that of all the Latin dances the Samba is the most difficult. "You coped very well." Bruno told her she can shake it, but that sometimes she loses it. Carrie Ann told her she was not musically connected. "Your personality was there, but not on the beat." She is right audience, no booing!

Brandy and Maks are dancing the cha cha to "Teenage Dream" Brandy feels pretty good about the instant dance. She feels she has the musicality side of it down. Well, she may think she has it, but I did not see it. Their dance was fun, but for her caliber it lacked...in musicality. Bruno said it was another fabulous performance to end a truly fantastic night. Carrie Ann chastised both Brandy and Maks for the fact that she didn't dance for eight measures. "Kurt danced more than you!" Len told her that her Waltz was full of beauty and grace, the cha cha full of flare. "You did quite well." A debate between Maks and Carrie Ann went back and forth for a minute or two. Sorry Maks, Carrie Ann is right. It was the "instant dance" and Brandy should have been showcased more.

Couple going home: Kurt and Anna. I am very disappointed with this result. I have been cheering for Bristol from the start, but it's time for the "teen advocate" to go home. And that should have been tonight. We will miss you

I would love to learn how to dance the rumba!
I think at this stage of the dance show it is great to have them do this surprise dance episode. It really shows how far they've come with their dancing!
I am still holding out for Jennifer and Derek. They did sooo great.
I keep looking at Jennifer Grey thinking "Crap that woman is older than me!" She looks fabulous and I haven't been able to do anything near the splits since I had my first child!! ha ha
I didn't get to watch it Monday night or I would have voted. I'm voting next week. This is ridiculous.
