Remember I said I would totally host a blog party?? Well how about the next best thing. This Wednesday I will be hosting a blog CHAT party! More details tomorrow!
I highly doubt that they set their offices to 78! We have been keeping ours at 77 but even that is a little too warm for me! But I'm at the office anyway most of the time so it doesn't bother me unless I am home. When we move out to LE...it might be too hot for my liking. I told Michael I fully plan on buying one of those blowup big pools and lay in that all day haha!
I doubt they follow their own recommendations - they are politicians, remember? haha
Our house is probably 78 because we don't have central air - just window units, uhg! It's been so hot and muggy here in PA. Remember I am from WA and I like mild.
Our electricity rates went up 30% because they deregulated here and now we are paying a ton. Total scam.
Looking forward to the chat!

For the first time in my life, I have AC. It's set to 75. 78 is just a little too warm, because it just feels like 80 to me.
When I just had fans and the temps hit triple digits, almost everything electric got shut off to reduce the amount of heat in the apartment. Only fans blowing thanks. No ovens, no stovetops, no incandescant lights, nada! If it created light, it created heat. And then I'd try to find a store that had AC and I would walk very slowly while there.
Our house is set to 78,which feels a thousand times better than 110 and muggy! When I worked for the paper, the office was set to refrigerator levels and all of the gals would complain and wear sweaters while those of us in the press area were sweating our brains out. Huge glass windows and disconnectd air ducts. Fun times...
No, I really don't think that The Department People follow their own recommendations. Good question!
I usually set mine between 78-80. Upstairs I'll go to 82. I like it warm, our house is too big and I HATE paying huge electric bills. Yeah I'm that cheap. Besides, you get used to it pretty quickly.
That is how the show was introduced on Halloween night. "Dead, from Hollywood, it's Dancing with the Stars!" with your host, Tom Boooo-geron! Oh and Brooke who didn't get a play on her name. Tonight, the dances are all spooktacularly themed. Plus there is also a team dance. David and Kym 1-800-868-3406 David and Kym are dancing The Cha Cha and David wants to add magic to the act, so they bring in a professional magician to help with some basic tricks. I enjoyed their Cha Cha. It was fun. Len said it had lots of tricks and treats and that David turned himself into a dancer! Bruno told him he has got the prestige, and that he was a natural at turning tricks. Carrie Ann said his improvement was phenomenal. She said he was polished and finessed, but that he needed to work on his holds. Scores: Carrie Ann: 8 Len: 8 Bruno: 8 Total: 24 JR and Karina 1-800-868-3410 JR and Karina are dancing the Tango to Ghostbusters...
I don't need a day to talk about women I admire. I need a month, a year, a lifetime. Whether they are fictional or real it would take me more than a single post to log in all the women I admire as there are countless women out there whom I admire for their strength, spirit, and ability to uplift one another at all times. First, I want to talk about all of the fictional women simply because they give a performance of what we aspire to be or something we wish could be real. Dorothy Gale I fell in love with The Wizard of Oz at a very young age, I mean who didn't? But mostly, I loved Dorothy and her absolute determination to get back home. She was completely terrified of the witch, but she still fought back. She was afraid of the Wizard (at first) but she still spoke her mind. Remember she is supposed to be TEN not nineteen (as Judy was in the film). She was a little girl. I always saw it that way. She's a little girl, like me, lost, far from home and a witch ...
It's Friday! It's time to confess. Confess of what? Anything. Everything. Nothing. You decide. Real or imagined. Claim it or deny it. The choice is yours. It's all in good fun and the best part...we don't judge. I found a white hair. In MY head. A freaking WHITE hair! To verify it's whiteness, I plucked that bad boy OUT and showed it to my mom who said ineed it was a white hair. WHITE! What the heck? I got my hair cut Wednesday. Long over due. But isn't that always the case? It was a new gal. She asked me, "Is that your natural color??" "As close as I can get it." and it has been at least 3 months since I colored it. She asked me what I used. Hmmm I think I use Miss Clairol...but ooops it's Loreal...cause I'm worth it! She said it was the best match she has ever seen and she also told me I was a brat. Hahaha. My hair is is like three color...
